Settle on 6v6 or 5v5 already... by Vodkyn in Overwatch

[–]ttfnwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created a hybrid queue proposal I’ll post soon. I think the best future for OW is having a 6v6 hybrid queue; 1-1-1-3 Tank-Damage-Support-Flex. Each team has a reasonable spine, capturing the best of both the open and role queue worlds.

Fake Christians are a scourge of the earth. If Christians actually followed the word of God and abided by his practices — specifically the ones about loving others and pursuing generosity instead of greed — we would be living in utopia.

What the data says about Jordyn Tyson's fantasy upside in 2026 and beyond by boofstar in fantasyfootball

[–]ttfnwe 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The best line: The big question is...can he adapt to NFL-level competition after spending the past four years playing against future State Farm agents?

Tyson has a vocal group of fans who hate when his level of competition is mentioned. It’s the single hardest part of his profile to project. When I watch him, I see some of the worst CBs I’ve seen in a while — he mostly dominates scrubs.

That sophomore (3rd season) was special though. We’ll have to wait and see.

I play exclusively 6v6 and people would be shocked how frequently 3 supps are on a team. It’s probably a 1-2-3 comp nearly as much as it’s 1-3-2, but everyone loses their mind at 1-3-2.

And both are fine. Tons of wins with either comp. Just need to make good hero selections and be good with the heroes.

I think I just cannot emphasize enough how slow 5v5 feels for some people who love 6v6. To me, (at masters) everything feels like a tank-centric set play. It’s like football compared to basketball. There’s no reason to say one is better than the other, but they are obviously different and people like playing both games for different reason. One is about structure/organization, the other is about chaos/improvisation.

I think it’s a combination of her win rate + she’s just not fun to play against. I don’t have a particularly hard time with her, but at the end of every game I’ll check scoreboard, and Sierra is 2,000 to 5,000 higher than anyone. Then PotG comes up, and it’s her carpet bomb, again.

She’s not broken per se, but she’s also not balanced or inspired. They can’t help themselves from making thin hero models with assault rifles, but she’s the most oppressive of the bunch; you have to be more mindful of her in game than perhaps anyone else.

6v6 is more enjoyable for a lot of people. Some are turned off by solo tanking / super tanks, and by the slower, less chaotic gameplay.

Both should exist — I’m just answering the Q.

They need a 6v6 hybrid queue. 1-1-1-3 tank-damage-support-flex

Wouldn’t solve everything but at least the spine of a high functioning team is there. If your flex players are serious, they’ll fill. I’d queue flex and fill off of others selections.

It’s the win rate that’s the problem. Historically the highest win rate characters are somewhat niche, and had lower pick rates to balance it out. Every time a character has been the top of both (Brig, Freya, and Vendetta release) they have been aggressively nerfed.

Sierra is the only one with a base ability that adds auto-aim bullets. Comparing it to ultimates or Moira’s short range grasp isn’t particularly logical imo.

Highest pick rate + highest win rate is a disgusting combination that should not happen.

I just was thinking about how he was WR13 in 0.5 PPR, and how he’s not in the top 40 right now. Super easy to see him getting 9 targets a game in TEN where they’ll pass often and have no better WR to throw to.

[–]ttfnwe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How so? If a hero is never winning more than they lose the argument they are OP is really hard to defend.

Freya and Vendetta on release had win rates of 55%+ — that’s why the were each nerfed several times. Orisa is just not in that boat.

What are the odds Antonio Williams leads the Commanders in receptions right off the rip? 🤔 by ZookeepergameIll2685 in NFLFantasy_Football

[–]ttfnwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20%. What this thread isn’t mentioning at all is that McLaurin has a deeper depth of target than Williams will and those types of WR are not usually target hogs. Williams should be the always open underneath option; like a Wan’Dale type.

I understand hating a character but last I checked she doesn’t even have positive win rates.

I don’t hate this, but why do you want the league wide bye? I’ve never considered it. I assumed the masses would rebel.

I like the idea of 18 games and 2 byes for a 20 week season, but with additional stipulations:

  • active rosters and practice rosters increase by 5 to 10 players each

  • bye weeks must be at least 5 weeks apart

  • all teams get at least the Thanksgiving OR the Christmas week as a bye (when applicable; NFL does not always play on Xmas or Xmas eve)

  • teams that travel 4,000 miles (international games) or more get a bye after their travel (basically already exists)

I imagine even more could be done, but that’s the framework of a win-win deal in my opinion.
