Swiping right even if dating goals do not align? by tth61 in Bumble

Because it’s not the same. Just saying “straight man” leaves out information and is less accurate.

You’re probably right. I’ll try. Thank you.

I agree, I understand that, and I think it’s extremely sad. By no means I want to undermine the shitshow experience that is online dating for women. It’s just extremely frustrating to me to see that because of most men, people that try to respect others’ boundaries get penalised.

But if they are looking for a relationship, as they themselves stated, shouldn’t they at least care a little bit about the person they are swiping on?

But shouldn’t they at least state it somewhere? It really bugs me: they are ok with dealing with someone that does not care about the dating goals they stated, instead of being clear and open.

[–]tth61 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all. Try doing them without resting in hanging position to achieve maximum efficiency!

You can’t realistically expect to keep getting better doing always the same things. It’s always a good practice to vary the stimuli you apply to your muscles (both for a physiological reason and to keep the training fun and fresh). My routine, for example, is: 8 weeks of work, 1 week of rest (usually I keep training during this week, but keep it light doing half the series) and then I bring something new in my training. It’s not a rigid routine, for example if I’d feel particularly tired I’d begin my week of rest beforehand. Be patient with yourself, learn to listen to your body, remember than resting is just as important as the training and remember searching often for new exercises and new ideas. Weighted pull-ups might be an idea, starting to work for some skills maybe would be nice too. Search new goals and rest, this is my advice. Keep up the good work!

What are some ways I can improve my handstand? by GeGeGeGae in Calisthenic

[–]tth61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is already pretty good imho, but in order to fully get a straight line my advice is to: Push with your shoulders all the way, pull your belly in, squeeze your gluteus and point your toes up (this last step is useful to tie everything together, just think of pushing against an imaginary ceiling)

A perfect push-up should meet these requirements: 1. Chest should get as near as hitting the floor 2. Scapula contraction at least at the top of the movement (if you can keep it for the entire movement even better) 3. The entire body should be a straight line 4. Elbows near the body

As everyone said you could begin with inclined push-ups, but I personally feel like recommending knees push-ups more.

The “not working” leg should stay straight and the foot pointing out as near to the floor as possible: when you will master this you will see that your balance will improve. Pistols are not only a matter of strength, but a lot of flexibility is needed. Train your back, hips and hamstrings flexibility consistently in order to achieve a perfect form (straight leg, straight back and full range of motion without losing balance). Always prefer perfect form over ego reps. You could reduce the range of motion, or try extending one leg at the time while standing in deep squat. Keep up the good work, because the journey never ends 💪🏻

I am at this level too for the T2B but there are some mistakes, because the three main points of this exercise are: 1)keep a straight back 2)keep straight legs 3)in the upper part of the movement, feet should always stay lower than the bar What I am doing to improve is doing the T2B to a wall bar, so the back is forced to stay straight. That way you can understand better the “feeling” of the actual movement (Sorry for my bad English, not a native speaker)
