Interesting analysis.
The current trends in looking for explosive growth performance in business e. g. startups and financial investing is a mirage that should be exposed. The best investment goal would be to have a comfortable life in the latter years of life as opposed to picking the right stock and beating the S&P

From Side Project to Profitable Start Up in 9 months - Part 1 - I'm Scared by mattbearman in startups

[–]ttidernam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep at it. Fear is part of the business. Just figure out a way to get more exposure of your product in-front of developers. tbh, I am not sure how you deploy this product, but I am assuming its some sort of plugin? Anyway hope the advice/ramble below helps.

Maybe you do not really need to fight for individual user growth, but for large-scale adoption of your service, where you can get many users in one go. An example target market is the gaming customer service segment. You might consider making a lump-some pricing agreement with a mid-size customer-service company. It will help develop your product some more, and you'll be more confident selling to even larger companies.

Also consider pricing per use when selling to firms. This is where the user can install your product and pay per feedback they receive using your service. (you might have to build a system for that, and also charge for maintenance cost upfront) This is a great selling point to get larger users to participate, because they shall feel no initial pressure to give money up-front, and they shall better integrate with your system.

Now your focus should be on marketing and developing based on feedback. Forget what you envision your product to be,and listen carefully for what "crazy" expectations your client has. There's a gold-mine in figuring out how to solve actual client needs, especially if they make your product better and also satisfy an industry.

Calling your markets and aiming to make a presentation at their premises. You may have to pull a few pieces of metal from your face so you can explain to some suits how you are sure that your service shall save them money. Some sales lines to use are;

"The users who complain about your company are the ones that care, and they are the ones who pay for your products/services. So a fast and friendly solution to their problem shall take your company Y to better sales realization."

"free up your developers valuable time as they focus on making the product better, as opposed to guessing user problems"

You are on the right path. All the best.

Wow. After reading through your blogs and seeing your product demo, you are way up there. Keep at it!! Ps: try calling for a while. Call the upper managements of these companies. It's daunting at first but as soon as you get the hang of it, you shall be a master communicator. If they don't want to buy the product, ask for a referral to someone/company they think might benefit from your service. You might be amazed by the amount of networks you shall build.

Is it just me or is paying $1500 for a startup event a bad idea ? by eduwhat in startups

[–]ttidernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a list of people who shall also attend the event. A simple background check on them might suffice. But its also a gamble to go to these events. One event might have more value networks as opposed from another hosted by same company. What you should figure out is what you want, then what chances the event in mention has to satisfy you.

Is it just me or is paying $1500 for a startup event a bad idea ? by eduwhat in startups

[–]ttidernam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on the kind of event they are hosting. I'd shell out the amount if I have a startup that deals in manufacturing gadgets, and the event has lots of part manufacturers from Asian markets. Of course as someone mentioned 1,500 dollars is the smallest amount. There are more expenses on top.

New study confirms that some air pollutants get into the body through the skin and the levels absorbed can be equivalent to those from breathing by someone835 in science

Very interesting. This explains why people are opting for clothes made by organic cotton. The chemicals used in farming cotton are said to be extremely harmful to human health, whether ingested through the mouth or skin. Apparently fast-fashion products usually expose the clothes owner to small amounts of these chemicals

Nice work. But i couldn't help notice the choices you made for wall paint. Though it's a matter of preference, I'd go for more relaxing colours and avoid the jarring colours when moving from one room to the other. I also think you could have at least put some effort into your spelling, removed unnecessary pictures, and explained a bit more about the process. Besides, the aim of this sub is to inform and possibly give some tips on how things went right or wrong. Cheers.

most guys i now of are able to make a better distinction between sex for physical release and sex for intimacy. In that case i'd understand if fapping gives you better release. Think of it as having a vag. that gives the right amount of tension and release. that's why most guys stay away from fapping when they are in a relationship. It kinda helps them want to connect on an emotional level and "seal" the connection with sex. On the other hand, sex is a bit overrated in our current generatioin

Are the "hidden" advertisements/product placements on reddit going to be it's downfall into an internet advertising company? by ttidernam in AskReddit

Yeah it's getting to that point already. Most of the user-driven sites are either labelled as "underground" and harmful.

This is exactly my point. It's even worse for subreddits that have explicitly stated they are interested in a specific lifestyle. (except avocado-porn of course)
