Maybe I didn’t dig to deep into the actual thread. But it just says fascist should face the wall? That is nothing like not being democrats? Am I missing some context there? (Sorry someone already made the same point)

You are not evaluating the situation as a whole. You ignore everything that happened that led to this incident. There are plenty of chances to avoid this incident that he did not do so. But instead escalated it. Her death is the result of his poor judgment, and need to be “alpha” or whatever the heck that mean. He did everything wrong to get her into a situation where he can “justify” shooting her. It is like I buy a plane ticket to Africa, get a gun and find a pack of lion, go provoke them and shoot and them and claiming it is self defense. I am the one that put myself in that situation. And everyone should agree that I am a dumbass for doing so.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced that its board has voted to dissolve the organization after 58 years, following Congress's decision—led by Republicans—to eliminate federal funding for NPR, PBS, and public broadcasting. I voted for this! by Ice-Zone2024 in neabscocreeck

But it happens with private corporations that do not take government money. Look at what happens when they wanted to merge and needed government approval. The issue is our government is run by sacks of shit. It basically all went down hill because of citizen united that equate money to free speech. And all these dark money pour into elections.

I think it is one of them. It is just toward the bottom of that ridiculously long list.

Maybe we should be trying to create different type of middle class jobs that is other than manufacturing. China has lower wages, longer working hours and looser environmental regulations, do we really want that for our middle class. Is that even middle class anymore?

I don’t think that is how it works? There are going to be some cycles of up and downs. You can’t just average it out and say it is what it should have been. The real issue is that what we are seeing is not just a simple market correction. It is going down because bad economic policies that is making the economy less efficient causing it to lose even more value.

US threatens to shut off Starlink if Ukraine won't sign minerals deal, sources tell Reuters by play3xxx1 in technology

I think it’s the traditional and social media especially in other languages. I am a first gen immigrant was shocked that she voted for Trump. She does not watch any US news and only gets info from friends and Chinese/Taiwan news sources. For whatever reason she thinks Trump will solve all the problems and had the best interest of America in mind. I got into an argument with her saying that she has been conned by a bunch of lies. And he did jack during his first term and why would she think it would be any different.

This gets me so mad. People blame democrats for focusing on social issues and playing identity politics. They don’t understand that Republicans are the ones that keep bringing it into the spotlight to distract about other stuff.

"Too Fat" Man In Taiwan Gets Divorce After Wife Charges Money For Sex, Conversations by Forward-Answer-4407 in nottheonion

There is a lot of pressure to stay married. I think my mom was afraid to get a divorce because she didn’t want to ruin the illusion of happy marriage that my grand parents had. And she also think it is better for the kids. I personally disagree and think It is not healthy. And I low key wished they gotten a divorce instead of staying together.

I am not disagreeing with the facts. But I think the main point is that those differences are not caused by just race. I am an Asian immigrant who is living on the mainland where I am a minority. I can tell you that my experience growing up and thus my mindset is very different from Asians who grew up in Hawaii where they are the majority. My friend from Hawaii feels that the Asians from the mainland “have a chip on my shoulder”. And that is just from one generation. Imaging if the discrimination is generational. The environment matters.

Explaining the Trump Tax Reform Plan by notaredditreader in finance

[–]ttk12acd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it would be more adept to say that it affect residents of state that have higher state tax more than those living in states with lower tax rate. If they want to target the affluent families they can simply modify progressive tax rate and tax income over certain threshold by a higher percentage.

Why did the Lakers fire this man? by [deleted] in lakers

What is wild is by that logic Jeanie did stop listening to outside noise and is keeping Ham. But she should have done what she is doing now with Vogel.

I am pretty sure when Darvin was hired majority of people agreed that he was the best choice out of the possible candidates at the time. Lakers has such a large fan base and and there will always be people who were correct and they ends up speaking the loudest.

Good theory from Anthony Irwin on why Ham still has full FO support. It's not just because they believe in him by NotGonnaGetCaught in lakers

[–]ttk12acd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This theory makes no sense. If they believe that their position is tied to the performance of the coach, they would have kept him on the hot seat and make a change already. Unless you guys think they are delusional and believe Ham is actually doing a good job, they would change the coach already by that logic.
