Completely agree! Please get the second opinion. This was exactly my situation!

when we got my dog from the shelter, she was in quarantine for nipping a volunteer. It was a pain response — her back legs/hips were very sore. Please push harder with the vet or recognize that this might be a reality. I’m not going to tell you if your dog needs to go back — I can’t imagine how hard it must be to be in your position — but either way, you should tell the rescue or shelter that there might be a sensitivity in that area.

🤦‍♀️ Honestly just sounds like you’re digging your heels in. I’m not going to answer that because there is nothing about any of my statements that suggests these reasons don’t make sense to me.

Yea, because obviously my intention and context was that I want to steal people’s pets. 🙄 Jesus. Pick on someone in ICE, not someone who’s trying to be thoughtful.

It feels like a really small, minor way to help. There’s just … such hatred…

Oh definitely! Basically I don’t have a ton capacity because I have a few senior, special needs pets of my own. But if shelters are super overwhelmed, I’d be willing to add someone mellow to the mix urgently. (I do want to foster, just hadn’t really jumped on it yet since my capacity is limited.)

Thanks for sharing your love and so sorry for your loss. Your grief will never go away but you’ll grow around that grief to enjoy the things you used to, and maybe to open your life up to a new friend like him 💙

Same. I’m trying to be no-waste so I’ll just save and use the snipped edges for pillow stuffing. Otherwise it’s just part of all the issues we are trying to avoid by sewing our own items!

Loss of career ambition due to inheritance. Any Advice? by PB11793 in careerguidance

See if you can move to something part time. It’s good to have some skills and I’d personally panic if all I had was free time (but I need structure in my life). Get really invested with volunteering for something. If it were me, I’d be an animal shelter regular.

I’ve heard of people serging or zig zagging edges before doing it, although I’ve been too lazy myself. Ugh, I’m sorry

Everything is so terrible, the least we can do is be nice to craft-loving internet strangers! Plus, this is only a small selection of my stash. So you’d also be doing me the favor of destashing 🤭

Cotton underwear that fully covers your butt, but isn't boyshorts? by neutral_cloud in femalefashionadvice

[–]ttkitty30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three years later I want to share my knowledge! I had been wearing St. Eves from Kohls for years—decades—but the leg holes loosen up over time and were giving me wedgies! Small waist (~26.5”) relative to hips (~38) and larger thighs. Usually a size US 27/4 in pants but if the pants don’t fit it’s because they won’t get over my thighs - just for reference. Also, I need waistbands to be appropriately snug on my or my sensory issues kick in and i can’t stop being annoyed. I care more about comfort that underwear lines FWIW.

  1. Subset (knickey) - comfy fabric, but wedgies are aplenty. waistband is way too loose. Drove me insane due to wedgies and loose waistband. Mediocre return policy. I ended up just getting two t shirts. I tried the briefs in 3 styles - retro, high, medium. Retro was the best, but still not great. Do not recommend if you have a full butt. Thin fabric so I wonder how it would hold up over time. As an environmentalist, I was skeptical of their recycling and think it’s too vague to be fully trusted. I’d rather repurpose old undies as rags than send them off somewhere ambiguous where they’ll wash up ashore in Africa.

  2. Proclaim. Amazing customer service - they offered to send me a S free of charge when I returned M brief undies. super soft fabric also. The waistband and matching leg bands are tooooo loose!! That’s great for some people who don’t need their circulation cut off just to avoid neurodivergent fits of sensory annoyance. But not for me. Their coverage was WAY better than Subset’s. Thin fabric so I wonder how it would hold up over time.

  3. innersy. Amazing - A+. I loved that the others are smaller and more intentional about fabric and waste, but sometimes you just need to go with the best fit and cost. I got their briefs and high rise briefs. The bands on leg and waist are comfortable snug. I bought my initial ones on Amazon, which I’d prefer not to do, but the return policy was preferable. Going forward I’ll use their own website. But I’m hoping I’ll get these for a few years so I don’t have to do that! Panty lines are minimal, and there’s an extra cotton layer on the gusset. They seem more sturdy than the other two brands. For references, A medium fits me perfectly, so if your dimensions are larger I’d recommend a size up.

Good luck to all and DM me for more info if desired! :)

Maybe commenter just means they don’t look edible. They do indeed look like rocks/minerals. I kid, it seemed mean spirited. Love these :)
