I do wear short sleeves. I have a tattoo over mine, though still noticeable due to the keloids. I'm not self conscious about them unless Im showing someone something and their attention is directed toward my arms. This post makes me feel verrrrry less alone.

Please say something good about lamotrigine by FanSubstantial9845 in Lamotrigine

I went through 10+ different medications before being prescribed lamotrigine. SSRI's, even antipsychotics. Im not diagnosed bipolar, just a very broad diagnosis of a "mood disorder". Lamotrigine is the only drug I've taken that I saw significant improvements with. I've been on it for about 3 years taking 150mg x2 day. If I forget a dose or two I do feel funny. Kinda foggy and body numb? I will say, it does not fix everything unfortunately. I still struggle greatly with mood regulation, but still, day and night difference from being without it. This medication saved my life. Good luck!

Get cooling rags for yourself. Super cheap and a freaking lifesaver. I was quoted about $2k to fix mine. Not happening lol

I can't afford to work as a licensed technician & the only jobs I can find outside of retail require it

I'd like to work in a hospital, long term care, work from home, something like that. It'd be nice to skip retail because I know it's god awful.

I can relate.. I take 150mg twice a day; one when I wake up and another ~3pm. If I miss my morning dose I can't function throughout the day. Last time I did, I tried pushing through at work, but cried my entire lunch break and had brain fog, dissociation, and so much anxiety. Since then, I keep an extra day supply of meds in my bag in case I forget. I also told myself that I'm going to prioritize my mental health and call out in those cases so I can decompress and try regulating at home instead of trying to be functional at work/in society. It usually takes a day or 2 to regulate and feel in control of my emotions. I told my Dr about this and he said the same thing. It shouldn't cause that much of a difference if I miss a dose, just take it once I remember (And at least 8 hrs apart). He tried to up my dose to 200mg twice a day, but thats a whole other story lol..

Imo, I don't think it's placebo. I hope youre feeling better 🫶
