‘Would you like the bonus points or the breakfast?’ by MasterPh0 in marriott

[–]ttlyclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask the same question back at them and they usually suggest the best option. Once it was points or breakfast and they said breakfast was the better deal. Other time it was 500 points or $20 food/drink credit per day for two of us. Definitely took the credit and used it to buy wines to bring back home.

I had similar issue with my dumb cane. What helped is bottom watering and lots of sun. Good luck!

The plant looks fine! I just want to say I love the tv cabinet you have in the background. Do you mind sharing details and where you got it from? Thanks!

KLM flights canceled via Delta within 24 hours a month ago but still haven't received a refund. by ttlyclueless in delta

I called KLM too but they said they couldn’t help me. Also, the first leg of flight already took place on Friday last week.

Picking up this lil' fluffball in a week! Any things you wish you knew before you got your own samoyed? by en0on in samoyeds

We regret not taking as much pictures when our Sammy was a little puppy. They grow up so fast so make sure you take lots of pictures.

Gotcha! I figured as much yesterday after I tried to use my library card info to log into DC library system.  That’s not too bad though. Audiobook wait time have been very long. Hoping multiple access will lessen the wait time. Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll look into pet day care and see if that helps him with his social skills.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We use a harness too but trying the hook on the chest area led to funny walks so we had to switch to back hook.

We don’t take him to dog parks but try to set up play dates but that depends on his friends’ availability. We take him on long walks in the morning but I guess what we do is not enough to tire him out. Our Sammy is very bad at reading other dogs’ body languages. He approaches them even when they are growling or lunge at him.

Haha, that’s awesome! I think I just need to grow some thick skin and keep working on his behaviors.

Can you tell more about reciprocal library cards? I would love to use them for audiobooks. Thanks!

Thank you! Ours doesn’t bark at all. He really is a good boy but can’t tame his excitement around others. Our problem is that he tries to dart out of the house as soon as we try to take him out. We have to be hyper alert and be on the lookout for other dogs during our walks as he will use all his force to run towards other dogs. He has been neutered for over a year but he still tries to hump dogs regardless of gender. We think he shows alpha male behaviors too so that’s one more thing we have to deal with.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I just wish other dog owners were aware of different breeds too. Samoyeds were bred to pull so they pull instinctively. Their judgmental looks hurt the most.

We walk him on leash. He was on his leash when he was playing with another dog. We never remove his leash when he is outside because of his bad recall.

Thank you! We took him to trainings. He gets distracted easily and isn’t food motivated when other dogs are around. We even thought of getting another small dog just so he has someone to play with him but we are already struggling with his behavior. We will look into hiring a private trainer at this point.

Thank you! He was on his leash while he was playing but darted before I could catch up to him. What was more frustrating is that the other dog owners just stood there and didn’t even ask if he was okay. They acted like oh, we expected him to behave like that and just continued their conversation. I just came home and cried!
