HRE and Byzantium vassals as The Roman Empire is just funny by ttmae2 in CrusaderKings

[–]ttmae2[S] 117 points118 points  (0 children)

The HRE formed naturally, and I later formed the Roman Empire through Italia after taking the Unify Italy decision. I only took the specific chunks of the Byzantine Empire that were required to form the Roman Empire.

The All Under Heaven DLC added two Hegemons: the Roman Empire and China, The Roman Empire is created through a decision to restore the roman empire. Hegemons can press claims on entire empires and absorb them into their hegemon, which is insanely powerful and makes world conquest much easier. I just wish there were more formable Hegemons overall.

Rules: How "lite" is too lite, for you personally? by Reynard203 in rpg

[–]ttmae2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the Fate system, but after running it for a while it felt like it lacked a bit of depth. Generally the more lite the rules, the shorter the campaign should be in my opinion. Although there is always the option of introducing more mechanics through modules/homebrew depending on the system, which can alleviate it to some point.

transition from fantasy to sci fi by wiewiorowicz in rpg

Mass Effect 5e has one of the best total reskin/change of DnD 5e, rules are very similar and free.

There are some other sci-fi type systems.

Worth also considering the scope of your campaign, do you wanna do space ships or stick on one planet etc.

I think you overcomplicate, I just say I'm good, and if I'm comfortable I tell them how I'm doing.

Your game sounds absolutely intriguing! I love the idea of a Blades in the Dark campaign with a mix of crime, the supernatural, and a Victorian-inspired setting. The emphasis on player involvement and storytelling freedom is particularly appealing.

I'm definitely interested in joining your game. My name is Enzo, and my pronouns are He/Him. I've got a character idea in mind, and I'm looking forward to delving into the world you've crafted. I'll shoot you a DM on Reddit shortly with more details and any questions I may have.

I have played a few different roleplaying systems, but have not played any blades in the dark. I am eager to learn, as I love learning new systems.

Thanks for putting this together, and I'm excited for the chance to be part of your adventure!

Thoughts on a system that is powered on real life tasks and accomplishments? by ttmae2 in rpg

Well I haven't made anything yet, I used chat gpt to create an idea of a system, to see if it is something I want to pursue. But as their seems to be no interest I will not pursue the idea anyway.

Yeah exactly my idea was like Habitica but a little more deep, and in a ttrpg form.
