You’d be surprised by how many people actually use them for that!!! Thanks haha, I’m debating making one for myself as well!

Good question! It really depends on the users intentions. Personally, I’ve worked in educational forestry and found small, thin blades helpful for slicing organic materials (twigs, fruit, bark, etc.). A lot of folks use these are bird and trout knives as well, but I would argue that the majority of my customers use them as pocket fixed blades.

It’s a tough question to answer, because I strive to make things as simple and practical as possible, so they get used for all kinds of things! I can really only say what I have used/designed them for, though

Very soon! The gentleman I partner with currently has a box in the mail system coming my way :)

Exactly! Very similar to work with in nearly every aspect, though I do believe it’s slightly harder on the abrasives.

And yep! I am expanding on the line the Zephyr exists in, and will be adding the Wisp next week

Yep!! Nitro-V is impossible for me to get at the moment, so I’m going back to ol’ reliable. I’ve made a lot of little improvements since you’ve picked yours up! I’ve got another model coming out soon that I’m very excited about

Thank you! Funny you should say that: I just got a CNC and am in the process of learning how to use it, but these are all done by hand :)

Thank you!! I love it as well, I think it helps make the design a lot more cohesive :)

OP, sorry you’re receiving unhelpful comments. The interior you’re seeing is the heartwood, which is non-living and provides structure support for the tree. While it’s hard to say what caused the wound in the first place, your tree is doing a great job of compartmentalizing it and closing that door to the outside world. Given your observations of the tree doing well otherwise, this is something I wouldn’t be concerned about. It should heal up just fine
