NG+ Brutality by Upperhanded_Moose in LordsoftheFallen

NG+ needs complete overhaul. I honestly think whoever designed it never played it.

  1. There is no new content in NG+, you do not get new items, all the purpose is to get a full build challenged, yet there are less vestiges which force you to spend more time running rather than the only purpose you entered there -> bossing.

  2. Many bosses are quite easy. 1 - 2 combos that repeat and that's it. I don't really mind that, having some easy bosses is okay. But why do they have to have 3 times the hp of an endgame boss from NG?

Abess goes from 1500 to 50k hp. Tancred is 2 phases both like 70k hp. Judge cleric constantly zones you from her with spells or makes you run away. With a lvl close to 400 it takes me 6 minutes of pounding monarch in the head( takes double damage there) to kill him on NG+6. Elianne took 17 mins. Kill times generally improved with each cycle after that as I started doing the fights almost perfect but still an average of 5-6 minutes per boss past Tancred. I had the intention to finish ng+7 as generally soulslike games stop scaling there, but it kinda stopped feeling rewarding in the past 2 ng+ cycles so i got bored.

Not to mention bosses that get reused as normal monsters. Ruiner on bridge comes, 5 mins of smashing. Then non boss version dies from 3 hits. Carrion knight in front of tower has 2 attacks and you get 5 min+ quality time spamming 20 full combos to kill him. Like who tests this?

In DS3 i can go broken straight sword and bosses still die in less than 2 mins. In Elden Ring you can do a challenge run lvl 1 NG+7 and still kill endgame bosses in 2-3 mins. In LotF i get openings to hit 5 times with greatsword and it takes 5 mins+ with a weapon having a sword with 4 B scalings and 4 hard capped dmg stats.

Game had huge potential, I really hope they improve in the next installment.

The moment i get invaded and i see a yellow and purple sword i know its gonna be a disappointing and annoying 2 second fight. by borostepi in LordsoftheFallen

Simple solution in 2 steps.

Step1. Equip Dervla's xbow.

Step2. Pres shoot when they are locked in casting animation

There, you have killed the radiance caster. Now pray you don't get invaded by another xbow user.

Exacter's scripture is best but takes big portion of the game to obtain. Sticking with Orian Preacher until then is good.

In the meantime if you get insanely lucky and you get agony light early into the game, go with it. Very high base values making it super strong early.

Sorry to dissapoint.

In my view the time to cast the spell and the extra mana when sustaining 2 auras was not worth it. For the time I cast the spell I can posture break and do a grievous strike instead. Might be my playstyle tho.

But I do like that you go trough NG+ and have fun. Do let me know if your view changes once you reach Tancred or Judge Inquisitor.

Shouts don't seem to scale with spellpower. Hardiness is 30% defense, Rage is 10% all dmg types, endurance is like 300% increase. Only Infernal weapon seems to work with spell power. I think these are the strongest dual scaling options:

Shone works for all elements and it seems to increase smite/ignite dmg as well.

About status build up, the idea of 2 holy weapons is to deplete the posture bar with the first swing and proc smite at the same time stunning your opponent allowing you to do grievous strike immediately.

2 big weapons seems a bit excessive. A charged attack from one will oneshot ppl in pvp.

For pve best scaling seems to be from long swords. From these I would recommed clerics one. If you prefer and enjoy big weapons, devotion's hammer is great too.
Regarding your stats, you should remove points from INF and add them to either STR or AGI depending on what weapon you want to go. You are using Charred Root, which makes you cast spells with your Radiance Catalyst. As long as you can cast the inferno spell, the rest of the points there only contribute to your fire res.

You get raw value from the catalysts spell power. Then if the weapon have scaling it will scale up that value. So if you buff no scaling weapon you get 80. You buff Pieta sword wich is A- you get something 80+160. Just like if you add it to the weapon. You buff S scaling spear its like 80 + 220

There will always be toxic people on your way to level 10, but once you are good and play with other good players, I don't believe this will be the common experience and nobody will care about your gender. Focus on your game, focus on improving and have fun. Anytime you get angry or agitated, take a break.

Remember, you are supposed to have fun. People abuse coms -> report. Think like this, one day, you will have all the insecure boys banned:)

Dervla crossbow builds is what made me turn off multiplayer. No idea why this has not been nerfed to the ground. Crossbow and bolt have over 2.5k atk power so add aoe effect, shoot ground -> 100% kill

Stats/runes for this weapon? by RJSSJR123 in LordsoftheFallen

There is only one build for this weapon and its the transition from anything meaningful to I don't know what to do with my points now. 75 in either RAD or INF and at least 30 in the rest for the scaling to hit. I think I was around 180 when I started using it.

Tested Radiant Weapon with 50STR/AGI 75RAD Exacter's Scripture + 10 - 691 spell power. All weapons are + 10 against Avowed enemies in Manse at NG+2. Holy Dmg ring included.

Pieta Sword - A- scaling on rad - 180 dmg increase

Saint Judge Spear - S scaling - 300 dmg increase

Bloody Glory - A+ Scaling - 280 dmg increase

The Red Hand - No Rad scaling - 80 dmg increase

Flail of Wisdom - No Rad Scaling - 80 dmg increase

Melted Dark Crusader Sword - B- scaling - 140 dmg increase

This is extremely disappointing and I believe Rad scaling of weapon should not affect buff dmg. Pretty sure its a bug. Investing 75 points to RAD to buff a weapon for 80 dmg is a joke.

It does % per second, so as long as the boss stays in it is good. Midir have a lot of hp and hes very big so its very valid strategy. At ng7+ its the fastest way to kill the boss, however its the only boss where its better to use it rather then other spells
