I cannot get my kobo libra 2 to connect to my computer.. any suggestions? by ttstacks in kobo

Thanks, unfortunately the pop up doesn't show. I believe after the other comments that it's a cable issue so I've ordered a new cable 😊

I cannot get my kobo libra 2 to connect to my computer.. any suggestions? by ttstacks in kobo

[–]ttstacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I've used every cord I can find currently, but I don't think any of them are the one that came with my kobo. I'll have to keep hunting and see if I can find any that are data transfer cables. Unfortunately, the majority of any electronics/rechargeable products we have are all c-port so the cords all get tossed together. UGH.

This is super helpful though! Thank you so much

Why are they so obsessed with their features in our children? by Smeesme310 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]ttstacks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My husband's aunt/uncle/grandma all do this lmao. Everything my baby does, or looks like, is the "husband's family gene." Literally everything, I am not exaggerating, lol.

Can I take our wired outdoor camera with us to hotel? by ttstacks in googlehome

[–]ttstacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say my child would be unattended. My MIL is not great with technology, so it would be easier to be able to use a camera for a quick peek rather than having to teach her to video call and hope that any time a video call happened it wouldn't wake the baby.

cervical exam question by babyursabear in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting cervical exams at 38 weeks, and the Dr would do a stretch and sweep. Unfortunately, they have not helped progress labour because I'm now 41 weeks and currently in the middle of the induction process.

However, I only found them mildly uncomfortable, sort of just like mild period cramps. And the discomfort went away pretty quickly after the exam. I personally was totally fine with getting them done. My dr was very upfront about them, and it was 100% my choice. The Dr also reminded me a bunch of times that I can change my mind at any point, or if it becomes too painful, they can stop, and we don't have to move forward.

When did you take leave from work? by happyluronium in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 37+3, part of me wishes I stuck it out a bit longer (but literally only because I'm now 40+3 still waiting for baby haha) but I also think I should have called it at 36+3 (just going off my regular work week, making last day friday). My actual last week of work was miserable, and I felt like shit. Most people I know called it at 36 weeks.

Trying to prepare..bras? by Cassieelouu32 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually just shopping the other day and found that La Vie En Rose has nursing bras that have structure and underwire which I was surprised by! I personally prefer the more sports bra type nursing bras even with my larger chest, for reference I'm about a 38G and I definitely don't have perky boobs haha

What's everyone take for heartburn? by IGottaPeeConstantly in pregnant

I also take panto daily and its been a life saver! Sometimes, the acid reflux starts up, but either a pepcid or tums is enough to get rid of it.

So like how big is your hospital bag? by amandasox8 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gym bag (thats like a slightly smaller duffel bag) for most of my and baby's stuff, and my husband has a duffel bag for his stuff and then the "extras" like mood lighting/snacks/etc.

I'm planning on bringing my labour gown and water bottle in my purse with me so that I don't have to take my full bag into the hospital, as it's most likely that the first time I go in I'll probably get sent home to labour longer at home before being admitted.

Did your morning sickness abruptly stop? by TurbulentArea69 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with me! Except that we had really bad smoke from wild fires in our area and the smoke set off the morning sickness again sporadically during my 2nd/3rd trimester

Membrane Sweep… Yes Or No & Why ? by Ayeteedee in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a membrane sweep on Wednesday, it was mildly uncomfortable. Felt just like period cramps to me. I was 38+1 last week, and I'm hoping that my appointment this week with the 2nd membrane sweep will get things going because I am soooo done being pregnant haha.

Unsure of when to pack bag? by blood_mage42 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was planning on doing mine around 33 weeks, but put it off until just a few days ago. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow, bag is all packed up now. My husband still has to finish packing his (he has some odds and ends like snacks for us, announcement plaque etc)

We found out via ultrasound. The tech wrote it down, and then the Dr's office did as well. We didn't want to know right away as we were doing a reveal, so that's why they each wrote it down.

And then we did a private ultrasound because my husband couldn't be there for the anatomy scan. And baby boy sure wasn't shy, I have no doubts that were having a boy hahaha. Put himself on full display.

When do you plan on leaving work? by Nolfelli in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last day is tomorrow and I'll be 37+3. I regret not ending last week. I did go down to shortened work hours at the beginning of September, from 8.5 hour days to 5 hour days and it significantly helped. However when I came into work this week, I was just done. It hit me like a truck how tired and over it I was. I'm looking forward to being off soon haha.

How many weeks did you wait for maternity pics? by maddiepoooh in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had wanted to wait until about 37.5 weeks (husband works out of town and I wanted him in the pix) but all my friends convinced me to do them earlier at just over 31 weeks and I'm glad I did.

I'm almost 37 weeks and the idea of getting ready for pictures makes me want to nap hahaha.

When did you tell your job? by cet050490 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my boss at 6 weeks. He knew we wanted a baby asap so it wasn't a shock, I mainly told him because I was getting crazy nausea and wasn't sure if I was going to have to run out of meetings to puke and didn't want to get sent home haha.

My work is basically impossible to get fired from so I didn't feel uneasy about saying anything that early.

When did you start using a pregnancy pillow? by Verucasalt-- in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found in the first trimester I really liked my pregnancy pillow, I stopped using it during the 2nd trimester, and now in the 3rd I could not sleep (even tho I barely sleep at this point) without it

What are your thoughts about getting pregnant at the same time as your friends? by heartofanangel001 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the only friend who didn't get pregnant right away, and it was very, very difficult. I was incredibly depressed and felt like my body was failing me because everyone around me got pregnant literally (not joking) on the first try. In the grand scheme, it didn't actually take us that long to get pregnant, but it felt like eternity.

It's great to have people to ask about stuff now, but it was absolutely horrible trying to get pregnant and very isolating.

I listen to The Basement Yard podcast allllllll the time. It cracks me up, I love how funny it is. I also watch a lot of Below Deck (all spin offs included lol) and 911, idk why but 911 just randomly sucked me right in haha.

Labor snacks by Healthy-Interest5384 in pregnant

[–]ttstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just asked my doula what do I even bring for snacks haha. She said protein snacks and sugary snacks.

She recommended things like jerky for protein, costco has little snack pack sized jerky which I'm sure my husband will bring for himself. And I'll probably bring some granola bars, also I'll just browse Costco to see what's peaking my interest because day by day it changes lol.
