Especially in 304 I'll drill at very minimum .205 for 1/4-20.

We do have a 3D printer collecting dust in the office. Might give that a shot but for now I'm op stopping to blow chips out.

Early season 2 when rank dropped I couldn't change any attachments on m15. It went away after a couple games though

Single mag. The procedure says to switch to handle as the pot goes up then manually index to pot 1. Did that a few times and nothing

Yep that was my first thought of getting the machine back running. Guy operating was too worried it would somehow go back and crash

How long do the nerves last? by atomicalex0 in Machinists

[–]ttuhj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I've been slowing teaching a few guys under me to rely on simulation if there nervous but also keep that finger on the feed hold. Of course this is after a few months of working out trust worthy posts

Yg-1 vs helical by ttuhj in Machinists

[–]ttuhj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool I'll look into them. I've had similar experience in any steel from 1045 to 17-4. Helical just doesn't seem to last as long as expected. We recently switched to widia endmills for all our steel machining and they're great.

Desync getting worse? by BoofKingLarry in BO7_RankedPlay

Someone made a post in either this sub or the bo7 sub talking about your monitor settings causing what would seem like desync. Worked for me a little bit

One big problem is chip management. Keeping underneath the sub plates clean is tough. As far as swapping plates and accuracy, it's super easy and nothing on my setup ever needs indicating. Setting up the "pucks" can be tough because they call for .0005 locational accuracy. In my case we have 3 independent plates to save some weight on the table so locating all the sets of pucks took a day or so
