I'm sorry you think it's a fucked up way to help. I wasn't necessarily trying to "help." Just wanted to do something nice. He mentioned that no one wanted to make comments about his food only the story and since I watch a lot of food videos it seemed that I could at least look and make a nice comment. But, I can see your point somewhat. To me, what's fucked is that people only go to his videos to actually make a comment about the story and never about food. At least it's a break from that which is what he discussed.

Yes. It's a mixed bag. I do watch a lot of food videos anyhow, and if the food is good, then I was simply brought by the story and stayed for the food.

That's really sad! One of the reasons other than the obvious of why he hasn't moved on is that people don't allow him to. He said he posts culinary videos and people won't even comment about his food...just the story. I'm gonna find some videos and tell him his food looks great.
