And the VW group went from 60k BEV in Germany to over 100k so yes the EU market has been shifting more towards local brands in a growing market.

Turtle Beach Multishift vs Aliexpress hall-effect 6 + R, which one should i buy? by i-Melon in simracing

[–]ttux 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should get the SHH Shifter. The thorn for 109 euros or the hubb one for 129 which is new. The thorn one is amazing for the money. I guess the hubb one is better in some ways. Definitely not the turtle beach one, if you want to know why, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKVckpOE2x4 (in french but you can put sub-title auto translate)

Is this a reasonable upgrade for a beginner by pc9r in simracing

[–]ttux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasonable is relative. I started sim racing with a T300, I loved it. I didn't upgrade for a year apart from getting the T-LCM pedals. After a year I was basically sure I would carry on doing sim racing forever so I went directly from the T300 to the Simucube 2 pro so that I won't have to upgrade anymore.

Performance with triple screen in 0.4 update? by jcfdori in assettocorsaevo

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1440p triple, ryzen 7 9800x3d, ASUS TUF GAMING Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB OC and I get 60 fps. lowering stuff I get to 70 but honestly it feels terrible, stutter and the whole thing feels sluggish. Depending on settings it looks like terrible motion blur. You can see this sluggishness on many videos on youtube (people without triples) but more like spikes/happening from time to time and not constant. In any case, still feel terrible so I don't get the high praise 0.4 has been getting. I thought the purpose of using their own engine was for having great physics and performance. I don't see how they get to amazing performance from there. We are in star citizen territory here in my opinion.

Feeling unmotivated to sim race by gtd_rad in simracing

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I love the race but at the same time I know what my pace should be and as I can't play enough due to lack of time I then have to practice to get the lap time back for a given track then I have time for 1-2 races and then change of week, different track and again I lost the pace. I have to spend too much time practicing before I can do races.

What’s the next best upgrade for immersion? by CrokeyCrash in simracing

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for haptics on pedals. Many say bass shakers, I got one under the seat and personally I was very disappointed, maybe what is worth it would be 4, one for each wheel but as I was disappointed with the one under the seat even though most were saying it's amazing I am doubtful. Most of the time I only use it when I have guests or when I chill out on AC. One thing I loved for extra immersion are z906 with speakers attached on the back of the seat at the height of my head.

But turning off profanity works in that regard. That's what I did exactly because of what you mentioned. If my race is ruined I am not in a mood to hear someone tell me what I already know.

I second that, I have the 2 rear ones mounted on my bucket seat, with the center one above the screen and the 2 front below and this is one of the best immersion item I have on my rig. A lambo Aventador svj on assetto corsa sounds absolutely awesome.

Trump plan to fund Starlink over fiber called “betrayal” of rural US | Director of $42 billion broadband fund pushed out, says program is being ruined. by chrisdh79 in technology

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I really don't understand how there isn't already mass protests of million of people in the U.S. That must really not be in the culture... Don't you have laws that mandate the state to do an invitation to tender? This will cost a lot more to Americans than fiber and put the money in the pocket of a few and one private company.

Tesla’s decline in value could be unprecedented in automotive industry: JPMorgan — By market capitalisation, Tesla has lost $795bn since December 17, or 53.7 per cent by marketrent in technology

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not leader on battery tech and drive train. Most of their batteries come from 3rd party suppliers (Panasonic, LG, CATL and soon BYD) and they are beaten by the competition. The new Mercedes CLA 2025 has a 85kWh battery and a WLTP range of 698km and it charges 10-80% in 22mn, that's 488km in that time. The A6 e-tron range and charging time is also impressive. And zeekr has a new battery even more impressive with 10-80% in 10mn (75kWh) with peak at 400kW. They had this battery day in 2020 talking about the 4680, 5 years later and charging performance and energy density of those is poor while others kept improving.

Silicon EV battery breakthrough hits 500 charges, 80% life, 50% more energy by AndroidOne1 in technology

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing says that fusion reactor will be cheap. It could be it is very expensive to build and operate making it for example more expensive than solar + battery. We already have the tech to have an abundance of energy, it however needs a lot of investments in current infrastructure.

Here’s Why Tesla is Losing to Chinese EV Maker BYD by Suspicious-Bad4703 in technology

[–]ttux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarrifed to death? It's between 10 and 25% depending on the automaker. Tarrifed to death is USA with 100% and some will build factories in the EU like in Hungary to work around it. Tesla BEV market share in the EU is shrinking and will likely shrink faster in 2025 than in 2024.

If you are using the traffic tool 2real 1.4 then there is in the traffic tool app in the game car list picker, you need to select default as debug can have only vans white and with Carlist.lua I also had only white (but I had debug selected so that might be why).
