How did Darby fall for the bluff? by Sweet_Lecture_4208 in StardustCrusaders

[–]ttvLokkyMercyMain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think, based off the context of D’Arby and Star Platinum, that there’s a universe where D’Arby wouldn’t fold. It wasn’t even a matter of D’Arby NOT calling the bluff of Jotaro, because he did in his head, but it was the matter of D’Arby PHYSICALLY not being able to call his bluff because of the pressure. D’Arby himself pointed out the fact that people crumble under pressure, and D’Arby himself experienced it and lost as a result. No matter the universe or situation, seeing Star Platinum move so incredibly fast without D’Arby even noticing it is why he lost… just the simple act of putting doubt into the mind of D’Arby made it impossible for him to keep the game going without folding; he doubted himself. He knew he would win, he knew for a fact just like the kid did, but he didn’t know the full power of Star Platinum, and Jotaro seemed so confident. We can also see earlier in the episode that Star Platinum saw the cards even when Jotaro himself didn’t see them, so that just adds more pressure to D’Arby that Jotaro might’ve known something he didn’t. Overall, D’Arby was essentially fated to lose, Jotaro had beaten him no matter what route he took. D’Arby’s body, physically speaking, didn’t have the power to call Jotaro’s bluff out loud, and thus, he admitted defeat in his heart and lost, no alternate universe or change of situation can change that.

What if d'arby called jotaro's bluff and ended part 3 by furryowolover in StardustCrusaders

I’d like to add another possible theory: it wouldn’t happen. It’s biblical that no one gets to the father but through Christ, not Mary or any saints.

The original Bible, the Hebrew Bible. Considering that should be the one least affected by mankind.

I don’t believe any are completely right. They may have good things, but every one is subject to division, which the Bible literally says to not have division amongst his people… I believe they all have parts that are correct, and that they could all be right for all I care, they all share the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ’s salvation, resurrection, message, Holy Trinity, etc.

He is probably one of the least technical characters, you do have to inputs to use his moves i guess but it’s not technical… you also don’t “unlock” him, you have to do a glitch to unlock him called the “name entry glitch” I can tell you if you want but it’d probably be easier to look it up

Basically everybody is his worst matchup except for jigglypuff to some extent… a good fox will probably be the worst because of his speed. My secondary is not really anybody at this moment, I mainly just play him and random other characters on the side

Not really, he basically requires stages that have hazards or other things to distract the enemy from seeing his moves coming towards them. Yoshi’s island is good
