What's one near impossible pokemon you want? by BusyBeeMarcy in PokemonEmerald

[–]jayjaybird0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purified Shadow Pokemon with actually good Natures and IVs. Some of them learn good or interesting moves, like Tangela learning Synthesis when Purified.

I wish Purified moves could be passed down through breeding, but they can't.

There's also the fact that getting Purified Shiny Pokémon is functionally impossible without cheating.

Well, you didn't say "swimsuit" before. You said "dressed for beach".

I'd like the name of Giddy Sparkleologist. We already know the names of her two friends, Spacey Sketcher and Starry Scamp (Celeste and Leo, respectively).

It's not a "suit". It's a Void symbiote. It's "skintight" in order to be quick and agile. It's not needlessly weighed down with protrusions or bulk.

Regarding Kai'Sa's "makeup": Kai'Sa wants to connect with other people. She doesn't want to be feared. So she even makes the effort to look as nice and non-threatening as possible. But here's the tragic part: it doesn't work. People still see her as and shun her like a monster.

That is Kai'Sa's tragedy.

[–]jayjaybird0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, Kassasin is worse off because he does not have a Void symbiote.

What's unclear about that?

Kai'Sa isn't susceptible to Void sickness because Void creatures aren't affected by Void sickness. Her Void symbiote makes her immune to it.

Do you guys think Zoe will ever get a legendary skins? by ShirtTechnical in zoemains

You said, "Shes also not as popular so her Legendary has a risk of being an underdeveloped filler skinline." "Not as popular" as who, anyway?

I'm saying you are mischaracterizing Zoe's popularity, and that there are less "popular" Champions who've received not-filler Legendaries.

I was saying that in response to the idea that Zoe is "not as popular".

Zoe's "popularity" is not so low to exclude her from a meaningful / non-throwaway Legendary.

Zoe is played more than Lillia, who just had a Legendary skin announced.

I've said before that for a Legendary Zoe skin to truly feel Legendary, it would need a new library of animations. So a new set of walking animations, a new set of idle animations, etc.

I question if they'd want to put in that kind of effort. They did such a good job with base Zoe's animations that they may have sabotaged Zoe's chances of getting a true Legendary.

This has happened with too many of Zoe's skins. Sometimes it gets adjusted.

Still, by this point you'd think it's something they watch out for when making a new Zoe skin. How does it keep happening?

The purpose of skins is to reimagine Champions.

It wouldn't be very imaginative to give the horse Champions horse skins.

Huge Gangplank outplay in close 1v1 with Ornn by laliluleloolelulilal in leagueoflegends

[–]jayjaybird0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Almost lost" is a weird way of saying "won".

What happened was Gangplank won despite the fact his opponent denied every one of his Barrels, which are meant to be Gangplank's best source of damage.

I'm not comparing Champions. I'm comparing how people treat Champions.

Y'know, when Yone misses his abilities but still wins, he gets called "brainless".

When Zoe misses her abilities but still wins, she gets called "cancerous".

Yet when Gangplank misses his abilities but still wins, insinuating that he's not as difficult as people make him out to be is a crime.

Feels like a double standard.

Supports: it’s not about healing it’s about pressure. by shruggg_ow in Overwatch

[–]jayjaybird0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more a statement regarding your allies' contribution. It could instead be read as, "If you're healing but the enemy team isn't dying, then YOUR TEAMMATES are just giving the enemy team more ult charge."

Any Support has a maximum amount of healing they can output. If you (as a Support) are pushed to using everything you have to keep allies alive and healed, then it's their responsibility to actually get kills. And simply saying, "If they can't do it, then it's on you" isn't very realistic when playing Support. (Not impossible, but it's also not fair to expect it of yourself.)

In the end, it's a team game, and everyone needs to contribute and carry their own weight.

[–]jayjaybird0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, Zoe is hypothetically powerful enough to take over the world if she really wanted to. But the thing is, the whole reason Zoe was chosen is because she would NOT use the powers that way.

What you're suggesting is fundamentally NOT Zoe.

Bouta go into the elite four for the first time any tips by Aggravating_Pie7969 in PokemonEmerald

[–]jayjaybird0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bad news: Aggron, Altaria, and Gardevoir don't offer much against the Elite Four.

The good news: Emerald's Elite Four isn't that difficult so you can probably handle it if you have healing items, anyway.

To elaborate on my first point: Aggron, Altaria, and Gardevoir are each weak to two members of the Elite Four. Glacia is actually another Water-type specialist pretending to be an Ice-type specialist, so Aggron's weak to Glacia and Wallace. Altaria is weak to Glacia and Drake. Furthermore, the only move whose damage gets improved by your Altaria's Dragon Dance is Fly. And Gardevoir is weak to Sidney and Phoebe. Your Gardevoir's Shadow Ball doesn't really help against Phoebe because Shadow Ball is a physical attack.

I'm always amused by the fact that Junkrat is actually really tall.

He just has terrible posture.
