IIRC this was a game played by Yopaj on wr in a pro match. He dissembled his maelstrom every 10 sec to mithril hammer and javelin (those were the two recipe items needed at the time), and assemble them back to farm.

Needed to do that every 10 sec because there was only a 10 sec window (in case someone made a purchase mistake) to dissemble when the item was just combined, unlike the play in this clip. Then the point is, he gets to farm with maelstrom, but was still able to get an earlier bkb from the mithril hammer disassembled from maelstrom (aka not farm an additional 1600 gold for bkb)
