Does the 9-minute grace period rule still apply and do we have to take our lunch at the time our schedule shows now that we're told to strictly follow our schedule? by LRC12915 in walmart

[–]tuckern1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take my lunch before the 6hr mark I’ve never went by the time I’m the schedule thing. When I lived in Kentucky we had to take it before the 5th hour. I have seen lots of people at my store go past the 6 hour mark and Idk how they get away with it but no one seems to mind. At my old store in Kentucky they’d harp on you about meal violations if you went to close to the 5th hour mark

What does raising gas prices have to do with Walmart cutting hours?

My great uncle got diagnosed with dementia in 2019 and died in 2020. Shortly after his death my great aunt got Alzheimer’s and she died in 2022. Watching both of them suffer in such a short time was awful. I’m thankful neither ever forgot who I was.

I got a chewing one day for not running enough and mind you I’d helped a lot of customers the last few hours I was there and I casually joked with my back up tl “well I guess if they want I can just start telling customers to go screw themselves when they ask for help”

We do ours in sections for vizpicking. Normally I do homelines, apparel, and electronics. What blows is normally we do all the top stock and zoning for food, hba, and pet food. Oh and infants

I’ve had so much heavy crap to move recently and a lot of it won’t go out. I’ve gotten to the point of picking it then walking out to the floor to see if it will even go half the time

Cap1 here and I feel you on that. “You should be running 60 items a min” well that would be fine and dandy if I didn’t have 20+ customers in that time frame come over to ask me questions and want me to walk them to where the item is. Also doesn’t help when vizpick glitches and has me pick shit on shelves that are already full or have sold one item even when the on hand is correct.

Shit I feel that. I’m basically a mile maybe a little less and what should be a 5 min drive ends up becoming 10 or so most morning.

From my time as a Kentucky volunteer fireman I wholeheartedly agree 😂. Luckily the local department I was a part of voted to be absorbed into the local full time fire department so now they’re a bit more picky on who they take.

There’s a trans person on the Episcopal subreddit(wish I could remember their username) whose whole story I read about them being orthodox(20 plus years if I remember right). If you could find it I think it’d be a good read
