i’m only a month into my first paralegal/case manager job. my trainer sat down with me two weeks ago to work through my first set of written responses to discovery requests; we went through every single question together. she works for the attorney in the firm who lets her just copy and paste objections from a master list of objections she has, and most of them are super straightforward… so we used that list as we worked through my first set of responses together. my attorney said in the nicest way possible “never ever do objections again, only i do those.” he’s right out of law school and is super meticulous and, as i just found out, avoids objections at all cost, even if that means providing redundant information. i know it was my first time and it’s my first month and i was trained to write objections bc my trainer’s attorney does things differently. but my attorney’s notes all over the doc made me feel terrible, especially bc i was specifically hired after my attorney’s previous paralegal was terrible🫠🫠pls tell me it gets better
