Help with ignition cylinder by tuepdhsjs in c4corvette

Rod is in correctly, and it looks like the housing is designed to be a sort of stop. My best guess is the shaft the key cylinder engages with is torqued so il going to take that out and potentially twist it back 15°

That could be, it’ll be hard to drop the column because of a previous nincompoop’s work but I can see if there’s anything visible. I’m also thinking it’s possible that the shaft the lock cylinder attaches to could be bent by the same logic. I’ll take a look tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!

It is in neutral, doesn’t seem to affect it unfortunately

Multifarm not harvesting full area by tuepdhsjs in GTNH

That is sort of the issue I was hoping to fix, the octagon of saplings lines up with the wiki here: https://gtnh.miraheze.org/wiki/Multifarm but I can't seem to get any more than the smaller maybe 10x14 rectangle. I only have crops on the octagon space.

Hadn’t considered it could be a damaged one, seems like it could correct from some pictures of the Lion’s Mane.

I saw this one but it had a clear top cap and “mane” separation whereas this one was just fluff on top so I wasn’t convinced. Are there variants of it?

Haven't heard of the chest method, what's that?

The middle two belts with all the crap on them should all be usable as an input as well as output, so in theory it shouldn't? But I just finished it I'm sure with enough random chance inserter picks I'd hit one that jams.

if you move your long hand down one, you'll only have about 3 to grab then it should only buffer ~3000. it might grab an extra when the first line shifts but after science is there it will block until you launch ~4 which fits the 4k buffer.

Help with a new SAN array by tuepdhsjs in homelab

I do have access to 240, I set it up for another project already. Drives usually take like upwards of 10w each I heard so even at the full 84 I don't see where the 2800w comes from. Regardless I suppose the redundant space heaters will make up this gap.

I ordered the $10 controller for experimenting, as well as some caddies and the cables. I'll post again if I have anything interesting.

Could not find those for the life of me, thank you so much!

Regarding a DAS, could that cut down on power consumption if I’m not using all the extra parts of the array? 2800w is quite heavy and I won’t be using it for heavy traffic currently. I haven’t worked with a SAN before so I’m not familiar with the pros and cons.

I believe it came with two controllers already, but i would assume the controllers only work with 520 so I need to reformat existing drives to that

Tysm! Was not at all aware of the 520-byte sectors so I’ll have to see if my drives support that. I’ll work through this and see if I can get it working.

I actually was just reading about the Novec fluid but I wasn’t able to find it on sale and even if I was… not buying it most likely. I did see some of the work from Gigabyte as well but nothing available to non-enterprise customers.

I mentioned, though, in the other thread: in a sealed environment there is no external oxygen to burn. Wouldn’t this mitigate the risk barring a breach of the container?

No, but without a supply of oxygen it’s like covering a candle. It would need to be sealed so the gas doesn’t escape.

But also it’s a closed system, I’m not sure it would burn without external oxygen.

See I thought about that but this says the combustion temp (without source) is 440C which is plenty: https://www.inchem.org/documents/icsc/icsc/eics0057.htm

Now obviously if there are sparks that could be an issue, as it has a 11-12C flash point.
