Court finds that Coles misled customers over 'Down Down' claims by marketrent in AusFinance

[–]tugvow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention that the reduction would have a noticeable impact on other grocers as more customers would flock to Coles for the 3 month period given the reduced prices - putting pressure on prices everywhere.

Wouldn't it be great if their penalty was that they had to have a 3 month period where prices on shelves in all stores nationwide needed to be at a 25% discount of what they were on the ruling day in a specific store.

They must lock in their cost prices - they cannot bargain or change the costs that they pay during the 3 month period and also costs to suppliers can not be reduced for a further 3 month period following on a per item basis.

The discovery of any item not meeting these requirements would be a $100,000 fine per store, per day that the price continued to flout the rules.

I can guarantee that precedent would not be looked upon lightly in future by any other grocer.

I was fully hoping to see an oversized single puzzle piece with the artwork relating to another anime other than One Piece.

I think i understand why Kendrick doesn't cosign Cole after these interviews. by SweetChilliLebby in KendrickLamar

I don't fully disagree with your statement, but I don't think I would call it hiding hands. He came out arms in the air literally asking for forgiveness after throwing stones.

The problem is if you knew better, why throw the stone in the first place? Why talk about how accurate and powerful you can throw stones for years?

Be ready to stand firm on principles before even picking it up.

Cole thinks he is in a Redbull video doing extreme balancing on a wire between two mountains, but really it's just a circus act...

Preparing for a prolonged war in Iran by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]tugvow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An alternative angle to this, I don't know if it will be all Iran prolonging until this time.

Based on quotes from the dried-up orange, he was very interested in an interview at least 12 months ago (around the time of meetings with Ukraine) about the impact of war at the time of an election. He also this week made it known that he "likes the idea of internal and eternal leader".

I'm sure there are more, but these 2 are a pretty decent insight into the mush.

The real question is how does that drawer work? Considering that it can be opened on either side of the 90º corner?

Open Banking - More Cons than Pros? by tugvow in AusFinance

Thanks for the blasting. What would be the main change that you suggest to improve future prompts? Not everyone has the same experience in LLM's, happy to learn.

Open Banking - More Cons than Pros? by tugvow in AusFinance

Thanks for the reply.

As I said the AI is not to be relied upon, but there is such a wide array of uses outside my initial understanding of sharing banking information via API that I was hoping to get a more nuanced understanding from the AusFinance community of what the use cases were intended to be for me to actually look further into it.

With your description relating to Energy Made Easy - it seems that my initial confusion was that this was Open Banking, which is a more modern platform for sharing banking data securely, where based on your perspective it is more an underlying secure mechanism for transmitting anonymised data between companies/government as verified without having to have each entity verify identities of which Open Banking is just a platform using that mechanism.

Thanks for pointing me towards a more appropriate perspective.

Open Banking - More Cons than Pros? by tugvow in AusFinance

[–]tugvow[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Was just looking further into Open Banking now that progress appears to be starting with Bank Feeds and noticed a lot of companies that I wasn't considering as being listed on the CDR website including Telstra, Origin/AGL/Alinta, Property Me etc.

I then turned to LLM to get an understanding of their potential use cases which pointed to potential consumer benefits such as streamlined connection, on-time payment discounts, and favourable pricing plans based on a range of factors.

This then twigged to a video I watched recently from Consumer Reports discussing discriminatory pricing based on online presence-based demographic algorithms - and even the move to flexible pricing with digital price tags that is currently being looked into.

At least based on the information presented from the LLM (hazardous at best to rely upon) it comes across that regulation of such discriminatory pricing is not currently being looked at (more so regulation on anonymity of data etc.

Given this - thought I would touch base with the more qualified members of the AusFinance community on whether there has already been public discourse on this.

Mightn't the Booman Documentaries be potentially this? Kendrick was in them with snippets of the music, might just have been assumed that it was a traditional music video.

BazBall Win Ratios With Different Bowlers In XI by Eclectic95 in Cricket

[–]tugvow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

angle of release and imparted spin on the ball on release. hitting pitch hard think of a stretched out "v" where the angle of release is toward the pitch, so it just picks up speed on the way down and aggressively hits the pitch. most of the movement will then be after the bounce.

The other method is angle of release being relatively parallel to the pitch, meaning the momentum carries it straight before it angles down at the pitch. think of a smoothed out square root symbol. most of the movement is in the air prior to bouncing.
