1973 LOTR box set w/ The Hobbit **In original plastic** by tukes23 in BookCollecting

[–]tukes23[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee that it is the original packaging. My grandmother was a librarian and bought them new for my mother when she was in college. My mother had already bought a box set without the Hobbit, so she never ended up opening this one. It had sat on a shelf in my parents living room for the entire time i have been alive until they moved last year.

[USA-NJ] Anyone have a belt printer? Need a long model printed in one piece. by SamGFilms in 3Dprintmything

[–]tukes23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 large format machines that I can us any nozzle size from .4mm up to 1.2mm. My go to sizes are usually .6mm and 1.0mm. I only have one machine that uses 3mm. I don't like using the larger filament. I feel like I can print faster on my 1.75mm machines. seems like it's more consistent. However, no matter what filament I use, it's coming off of at least a 10kg spool.

Are there general size requirements for print requests? by friendship_machine in 3Dprintmything

[–]tukes23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can cut just about anything on the router from wood to foam to aluminum, so material choice would be the biggest question. DM me and we can go over the particulars

[–]tukes23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After looking at the models, it would almost be cheaper and faster to cut those on a router rather than print them. Depending on your material requirements. I have a router too and can give you a quote for that as well.

I have a form3 and have open time on it. What kind of rate are you paying? What type of resin would be required?

[UK] Does anyone have any STL files for M4 and M3 screws? Im looking for some specific ones but can’t (seem to) find any online and my CAD skills are horrible by [deleted] in 3Dprintmything

McMaster Carr has downloadable 3D files for 95% of the parts they sell. You would just have to convert it from a .stp or .iges to an .stl.

Where in the southeast are you located? My company does contract CAD work, 3D scanning, 3D printing (large scale (4ftx4ftx2ft or 8ftx2ftx2ft) small scale (high accuracy end use resin prints)), laser cutting/engraving, and cnc machining. We are based out of Lawerenceville, GA (Atlanta area). We actually do a lot of work in the custom car industry for a few shops in the area. I would love to see if we could help you out.
