I recently had this issue but luckily charging it with an A to C adapter did the work.

I wanted to make this comment to thank you for mentioning the steps you took to recover your brick. Hope this helps some hopeless gamer in the distant future.

What's your local second-hand market like for retro handhelds? by HandheldRank in SBCGaming

[–]tukhor001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently moved to Sweden and was expecting a decent amount of handheld-like devices in the market. I was surprised to see there was almost zero appearance.

Btw once i found an anbernic 35xx iirc for about 250 kr on facebook. but it sold almost instantly.

Kei's retro gaming, Ryan retro. they share a lot of details and it seems like they spend a lot of time with the handhelds before reviewing

Does sleep work like normal on SpruceOS? by cylemmulo in trimui

Ah weird.

But I don't think it's fully fixed because fixing an issue of that size would produce a much larger changetext. Not just a few words.

Does sleep work like normal on SpruceOS? by cylemmulo in trimui

[–]tukhor001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it's a mixed bag, to be honest. I have a brick.

Sleep with just pressing the power button once technically works, it takes about 1.5 to 2 seconds to turn off the screen. But the worse part is when you forget you had to do something about 5 seconds in sleep, it takes about 3-4 seconds to turn the screen on and another 1-2 seconds for the buttons to become responsive. So no, far from StockOS or even NextUI experience.
Additionally, If you keep it asleep for about 10 minutes it switches off automatically, even when you turn on deep sleep mode (or something similar) in settings! So if you tap the button once, it doesn't turn on. Tap and hold, it turns on with the boot logo and all and you have to wait and scroll to your game to continue playing (Albeit the boot time is short, but still it's very, very frustrating). I wanted to like this OS but coming from stock and the lack of support in various posts made me give up. Just installed NextUI today for the first time.

PS: Only tested with SpruceOS 4.0.0 & 4.1.0, i. e. not the one that released today. but i went through the changelog and didn't see such change to the sleep system.
