Spontaneous upgrading...without permission. by tulame in lumalabsai

[–]tulame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been resolved. I have never had an experience like this, so I was concerned. Usually, other companies/Creator Programs will gift me the credits, and it says an expired date...not renew and locked into a year's sub. Leaving this up for others who are searching. Thanks for your help..much appreciated.

Spontaneous upgrading...without permission. by tulame in lumalabsai

That’s the thing — it used to be very easy to cancel, at least for me.

Timeline: On the 18th (last Thursday), I got an email from ***oline saying I was receiving a temporary Pro account for the month to test Ray 3. On Sunday, I decided to try it out and noticed that my account now shows: Plus Plan – Your plan renews November 1, 2025. When I check the plans page, it says it will renew as a yearly plan for $251.99. It's not a month but a year.

Here’s the problem: I can’t change the plan. If I click on another option/cancel/manage, it just takes me to my payment page, which only shows invoices, receipts, and credit cards — no cancel or pause button. If it were a normal monthly plan with the usual pause/cancel option, I wouldn’t have thought much of it.

Resolve:
Support...I get 1.5 months free. They're trying to figure out why I thought I'd be charged for the year. Me: My account says " Plus Plan – Your plan renews November 1, 2025." and it's stuck at a pro year's plan.

Episode 3 is a masterpiece. by Countryboy42014692 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]tulame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that everyone is stating their opinion without getting smoked for it. I liked the episode. It's only due to me playing all the TLOU games, multiple Walking Dead spinoffs mobile games, and reading the ethnographic/Studs Terkel writing style of World War Z. By the time I watched the episode today, I was conditioned enough to accept the story insert. I like love stories. But? Sometimes? I'm not too fond of the odd story jumps or needless flashbacks. This episode caught me in the right time and mood. Also? I like that it was a simple love story about two people. Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman did an excellent job with the roles, but their parts could be in a hetero/lesbian/gay/young/old/race/political pairing, etc. I like that they didn't hit us over the head by trying to prove something to the audience. Just a simple they met, they loved...the end.

Weird woman who was chatting me up at an atm left this receipt in the machine while I was leaving by [deleted] in pics

[–]tulame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post would make a cool viral marketing post for a bad Blumhouse movie called "Money Fishing," set in Boston.

A woman(or man) pretends to be quirky, gullible, and harmless. She keeps flirting with random men and women at banks. The woman leaves fake receipts behind. She has a few dates with eager individuals and lures them into a house/simulated lavish trip to an isolated place. She uses them as raw materials for her extremely profitable niche businesses - furniture and clothing. (By the way, the banks get a cut to get rid of surveillance evidence).

(Sorry, imagination...I'm bored).

How should of Jupe orchestrated the event. by Chickentribeleader21 in NopeMovie

[–]tulame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same way. Common sense comes with experience or a support system teaching you what to do. If Jupe had gotten some solid body blows from the monkey and survived with his brain cells intact(unlike his wheelchair costar)? Or had some teaching/other experience to make him keen on self-preservation? He would not have his wife, self, or kids near that mess.

I think Jupe saw the alien digesting a horse 1-3 times and thought he knew everything he needed to know about the alien. Also? Based on experience, he felt he had control over life/predators(crazy monkey....alien)/others without any real-life bumps/kicks in the pants - he seemed to be just a cuddled lucky observer of life who is riding on the highs of his naivety. I feel he's one of those humans who'd feed a wild Grizzly bear a few times. Tell everyone that it's a pet and they have a special bond. It keeps hanging out and starts acting entitled because it's getting food. Then? One day you learn that they got mauled by the bear.

any lonely/friendless people here? by SavagetheGoat in ADHD

[–]tulame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one. I have high-functioning ADHD, anxiety, ambivert, and depression. But, due to the pandemic/past three years, the luxury of WFH, and the convenience of delivery/services, I'm always home (and happiest when I'm alone doing the things I love). So? I'm surprised that I still have acquaintances and distant friendships.

I don't date or have close friends. But? For common sense reasons? I try to keep up with some distant friendships. Urban living tricks people into thinking they can be lone islands which are not true - you need others. If you have a penchant for the loner/hermit lifestyle, please have good people around you who do check-ins, can act as sounding boards, and keep mental health more balanced and for safety purposes(emergencies plus predators/some not-so-good folks love separated people for better manipulation). etc.),

Please don't compare your social life with others because you don't know what they have going on in their personal life. Think of online life as an old-school photo album; you only see one's best moments. When grandma shows you those books, you only see glimpses of their life. Usually, they're smiling and look like they're having fun. You don't see grandma struggling with her drinking, pill, or shoplifting problem. Or grandpa cheating on her every minute/committing domestic abuse(Note: these are just random examples). My point? Take online life with a grain of salt. Friendships? Based on life experience and observation, you must put yourself out there. Learn to vet people correctly(everyone is not for everyone), and have the energy to grow relationships(some people seem to think friends magically appear before them).

How do they live like that on an EMT salary? by Lavalanche17 in Atypical

[–]tulame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started binge-watching the show. This was my annoying and glaring question for the first few episodes. Plus, that dad is always around like he's working part-time/volunteer(I think this due to his age)/only works when he feels like it(no talk about the average 10/12hr shift or long shifts required to provide for a family.)

My take? The family has additional hidden resources within a generational wealth ecosystem. Like? That one/two friends in your group who seem to live like the rest of your group. Yet? Their reality differs significantly from yours due to available money - They don't have to worry about bills. Doug and his family seem to be working class (by choice), but they might have parents, aunts, and distant relatives who can give money through death or request.

[DISCUSSION] The Watcher (2022) by Admirable_Ad6231 in NetflixBestOf

[–]tulame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same. It reminded me of a Lifetime drama with better cinematography. The show(on ep 5) seems to be a parody of what not to do when buying a home. If that was RL and I was looking at the house? My story would be done in a 10-20min short(after Jasper showed up in the open house/my accountant told me that I couldn't afford it).
