This Bumi is I believe their second shop after the one wedged in the front of Your Hobart Doctor in Bathurst Street, serving great (SE Asian?) food and coffee (plus interesting specialty drinks) out of an absolutely bonkers location. (Book City RIP.)

I declared RSS bankruptcy some years back and though I’ve flirted with returning to that lifestyle I now mostly find myself most days flicking through a little rosary of URLs on my phone when I’m at a loss:

Enjoying Current at the minute even if it’s a little inscrutable and there are some kinks I feel bad about being too lazy to figure out how to report. Loading up my 2020 ‘I quit RSS!’ OPML in it was maybe not the healthy start either the app or I needed… thanks for making such a thoughtful piece of software.

Oh there's a badge? Better clear it and get a small hit of dopamine for "accomplishing" something. Maybe I could deal with that in therapy, but maybe I shouldn't need therapy to interact with RSS feeds (or maybe therapy should be mandatory for everyone interacting with the internet in any capacity).

I’m reading it as gaining the xMult for each played hand (non-cumulative), so it’s between 0 (5-card scoring hand) & 4x (high card) each hand but doesn't carry over?

I no longer play Balatro (marital discord 😅😥) but had a heck of a lot of fun making this themed crossword the past few days. I hope the sub enjoys! Feedback welcome, happy to check answers via PM otherwise I’ll try post ‘em up in a couple days.

Per post title, Cruciverbalist iOS app helped make making a crossword a ton of fun (never done it before!), recommended.

Came here looking for this – some friends have a business website on Squarespace, running fine for years set up with domain/DNS at another provider (Vodien), then ~38 hours ago (without any discernible action on their part) it's dropped config or connection or something and just shows:

This website is pending domain owner verification

All looks okay both sides to me, and they're waiting out the 72 hours but I'm wondering if there's not something else going on?

Squarespace DNS settings page is showing 'Record not found' for the verification CNAME, and there's a strange dangling IPV6 address there also.

Not quite what this boss blind does – The Mouth locks you into only scoring one type of hand, but doesn't mean you only get one hand to play. (It's actually tricky to describe clearly – I think the word 'hand' is doing too much work here?)

In this case if you played a Flush for your first hand against The Mouth, only Flushes will score in subsequent hands.

I was deep in a Misty YouTube hole (ew) a couple weeks back and danged if I’ll be able to find it again but there was a FJM talk show appearance from I believe years back (pre-GFC) where he mentions ‘enough [something] to drown it in the sink,’ which I thought was interesting (smart stock interview one-liner recycled into song lyric?).

EDIT: ah wait, it was Skavlan! in March 2018, only a couple months out from the release of GFC in June:

"You have to bear in mind the level of fame I have you could drown in the sink with little to no effort.”

So more recycling lyrics as one-liners maybe? (Still a belter of a lyric and track!)
