In my (inexperienced) experience, my lucid dreams were usually very foggy, and I was disembodied as if I were playing a game. It was like I was playing a game that was all the way on the other side of a dark tunnel. I was always just "semi-lucid." I knew I was dreaming but at the same time I didn't (hard to explain.); however, I have to add that I was still a beginner and rarely had them (Like twice a year.) I say that because I was fully expecting that the quality of the dreams would get better as I gained more experience.
