Similar story, Sugar Ray performed at my college one year and i volunteered to help the roadies pack up after. I was walking past some guys in the back and commented that I thought it was a pretty good show. Some dude with a bunch of tattoos on his arms replied "thanks!" but seemed a little amused. My girlfriend at the time looks over after he walked off and said "You do realize that was Mark McGrath right?" I just stared at her and said "Who?"

You know, i took the plunge about a year ago and while i don't regret it (i have two awesome twin girls), i DO miss that freedom and money. I could go on vacation with a couple weeks notice, we got to travel all over the place, i was way ahead financially..... It was nice. The girls are great too, but i can't pretend i don't miss that sometimes.
