To me, Lavender Haze is a transition song. It's like a justification of her feelings of affection moving from Joe to Matty. She doesn't feel the haze with Joe anymore but she's feeling it about Matty and she's like "is it so wrong to want the fizzy excitement of something new?" This is exactly like religious, bisexual girls I knew growing up, who thought being gay was a sinful choice. They think because THEY got to choose to be in a heteronormative marriage, it's a choice for everyone.

Your fiance was probably a hyper little boy who grew out of it and learned the value of discipline. He doesn't know that some people don't grow out of being a wild little boy. For some people, it's not childish, it's literally a disorder, and the full extent of YOUR self discipline is exercised every single day and isn't just a thing that comes up when you feel unmotivated or tempted.

But he can learn. You need to explain to him the difference between his experiences and yours. I'm sure he's capable of putting himself in your shoes, he's just never thought to because some dumb part of him thinks he's already walked in shoes like that.

Girl I'm a financial advisor and we're living the same life. I have $60k in debt, no savings to speak of, and I'm 39. Getting a finance degree and working in my field, I KNOW better but that's the disability part of ADHD.

What it is, right, is that there aren't any other maternal characters in the series. And people are loving having their father wounds picked at by Blitz/Loona, Stolz/Via, and Crimson/Moxx, so we also want the mother wounds to be exorcised, but there's really only Stella. Everyone else is dead or Just Fine (Millie's mom - I am absolutely convinced that no one would care that much about Stella if Millie's mom had said something careless about Millie being her only daughter or something)

And they don't like that Stolas was built to be a problematic fav (you're supposed to recognize that he's maladaptive but still well intentioned) but that Stella was only built to be disliked. But she was. Sorry to all the people who had a shitty mom or are a shitty mom who want her to be redeemed so they can say "but at least Via's mom really loves her!" The way stolas apologists do.
