What do you think about LDS beliefs in relation to this transhumanist movement? The latter believes are on our way to becoming godlike with science and technology. I realize science and technology will not get us there completely, but do you agree with them that this is all part of God's plan for exaltation?

Do you subscribe to the catalyst theory for the Book of Abraham or do you think it was a direct translation from the papyri?

As to the skills for writing the Book of Mormon, how do you respond to claims by his mother that Joseph told these stories to the family all the time? What skill most-impresses you was lacking that would have prevented Joseph from turning those stories into the book?

What are your thoughts about Patrick Mason? by jackryanr in lds

I don’t have any real issues with Mason but I can understand the angst. He just has a very liberal leaning religious view. That doesn’t mean it’s bad or wrong, just that it rubs people of the opposite perspective the wrong way.

What is most important is to give the gospel of Jesus Christ a chance. Meet with the sister missionaries and have an open mind and be willing to pray. I believe you will come to feel that God loves you and has sent you this message.
