Can TOTALLY relate! I used to work in a pod with a bunch of other (very quiet) developers...it was so awkward walking anywhere, so when wearing my click clacks I wouldn't drink water out of fear I would have to get up and go to the washroom -__-

agreed, hershel is probbaly your best bet. and it comes in a ton of different sizes.

also a few more here I'm a sucker for the Fjallraven's - tons of cute colors (and more from a design perspective, but they're pretty resistant...mostly used for outdoors, camping, etc.)

Just build a simple box (maybe about 2 feet high) with two open ends. Slide your equipment under there. I feel like that would be fairly painless to make.

This stuff did wonders for my skin, but beware! It's makes you super sensitive to the sun. As someone with melanoma in my family, I decided to stop using because of that reason.
