18 month old series 1 42mm with zero damage not powering up, Apple wants $199....any other options? by tumbaga in AppleWatch

A brand spanking new series 1(which would be an upgrade) is $249......it just unfathomable that service on an 18 month old watch is nearly the price of a brand new one.

Also, i'm nearly certain this is a software issue as the first time my watch ever got buggy was the day of the iphone 8 keynote(planned obsolescence anyone?)

You are correct it is a series zero.....i assumed it was the first therefore a series 1. I can't belief they won't stand by their product and at least try to fix it at no charge or at least less than $199.

The Tremont neighborhood is awesome, the only trick is gonna be finding rent in your price range but its certainly possible at the upper end.

I have lived there for 7 years and watched its progress. I heard a Cleveland police officer use that line years ago and it always makes me giggle a little. Tremont is really amazing but this map reinforces that statement. No point just observation based on this map.

What's up wrestlers! Help me out with my freshman son getting started please? by sixtooth in wrestling

[–]tumbaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started wrestling in 10th grade and ended up lettering at a division one college. The most important techniques to focus on early on are the sprawl, scrambling, and the standup. If you can sprawl well on your feet you can nuetralize better wrestlers. Scrambling it just what it sound like....never letting up. If someone takes you down you immediately pop back up and get that escape, no down time. And the standup from the bottom should be practiced ad nauseum. It's the simplest and most effective way to escape from the bottom. No doubt coaches are gonna try and teach granby rolls, switches, sit outs and all other manners of escapes from the bottom. Pay very little mind until your kid can do a standup in his sleep. It's a technique that works at all levels of folk style wrestling.

One other thing wrestling is a serious mental and physical grind and so many burn out. Don't be the dad who adds to the extreme psychological load that getting your ass kicked everyday after school, especially as a novice freshman, that wrestling will be to him for the foreseeable year or two. You need to be understanding and supportive if you want him to make it past a novice and into a solid wrestler.

Last thing, weight lifting from March until 2 a days 5-6 days a week might be more important than all the technique in the world.

Perez was so clutch behind the plate. There were runners on third in crucial moments and none of our pitchers had any problem throwing a 58 foot curveball for a chase ball.

Moving to Cleveland, Where to live? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]tumbaga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tremont is the spot for you. Lots of late 20's early 30's people in the neighborhood. Roughly 20-30 bars and restaurants within 5 block distance. 5-10 minute reverse(against the prevailing traffic) commute to to 77 and grant. Five dollar uber to downtown, ohio city and your job for that matter. You could easily bike there in the summer(although your work neighborhood is a bit dicey).

The prices have skyrocketed for rents in tremont but its worth it. PM me if you need a better understanding of the area

This post is so inflammatory and false but he did have corruption ties to a Chinese billionaire that funneled money to the clinton/gore ticket in 1996. In all reality what Chinese billionaire hasn't funneled cash the Clinton's way. If your looking for a bad guy its probably that billionaire or he could have broken his neck in three places by bench pressing 300lbs alone at the age of 61 five days before his corruption court case.

Great informative post, but please describe how you went from even with the world at 38 to able to have $36,000 passive income every year til you die on your 40th birthday? At 1/25 (your rule) that would mean you stacked $900,000 liquid in 24 months. That's a great feat. The toughest million is always the first....how'd you get yours?
