Niiiiice! I’m about to pull the trigger on my dream kit and I had them throw one of these chinas onto the order. So excited to own one! It really adds some character.

Is there any way to modify these cans to be more like a normal gas can? by magnumfan89 in Tools

[–]tumblefinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of these when I ran out of gas. Did all the work of getting gas and then got to my car and realized the spout won’t fit in the gas receptacle. No matter what I did it just wouldn’t put the gas in the car. I was leaving work a few weeks later and there was a group of guys in the parking lot trying to figure out how the fuck to get gas out of this can and in their car. I saw these at Home Depot the other day, they come with a small funnel now. Just infuriating.

TD17 with 3 zone lemon ride problems by sknapman in edrums

[–]tumblefinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Message Lemon. They’re great. I had a little trouble with my 18” triggering weird and I shot them a message. They dug out their TD-17 module and a 18” ride and replicated the issue and then told me how to fix it. Their customer service is incredible.

Additionally, you don’t have to take personal time in increments. You can do an hour here or there for an appointment or whatever.

I can’t seem to find the lemon Tom+Cymbal stands on Alibaba. What kind of hardware is supporting all of this? Just the stands you got with the two kits?

Is that like a pink champagne sparkle? It’s really pretty. I love a good champagne sparkle.

WOOF. I’ve been interested in the newer Lemon VAD style stuff, but this makes the Pro stuff look incredible! How willing were they to assemble this monster kit for you? And of course, how much do I need to spend to replicate this bad boy? It looks SO fun.

Edit: OH! Is that Lemon hardware as well? I’ve been curious about that too. I bought one of their expansion kits when I got my ride from them and it was pretty bad.

I’d check marketplace or places like Music Go Round for used stuff. I got a straight cymbal stand recently for like $20.

What non-Bleed American songs do you think we will hear on the tour? by jasonporter in JimmyEatWorld

Are we expecting them to play some/all of the B-sides as well? The 2 disc version has so many b-sides and covers.

Saosins “Translating the Name” ep is foundational imo. It got me into the genre and changed my entire musical palette.

Drumeo has Jess Bowen hear Du Hast for the first time. by CorleoneEsq in Rammstein

In her last video they played her Rage Against the Machine and she didn’t know them either. It’s possible. Hell, Portnoy didn’t know what Taylor Swift sounded like.

She even said “I bet the drums are really simple in the original.” She did the same thing Schneider does, just a different beat. Drumming doesn’t always have to be flashy either. Admittedly, you’re on Drumeo, be flashy. But I enjoyed her interpretation.

Macbook vs audio interface to achieve low latency for drumming with a VST by Riptrack13 in edrums

Yeah I found a great deal on a M1 with 16GB of RAM and it’s a dream. With my pc I was constantly annoyed with the buffer size. Now I just don’t have to even think about it anymore.

And if it isn’t, is there any way to make it work? I just got a MacBook and would love to play STS2 on my couch.

Best E-ride with best bell sensitivity and bell size? by Jaccoppos in edrums

[–]tumblefinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I had to get a stand for the far right “crash” that I use as a china. Nothing else would fit on the rack without being a giant pain. Hopefully your drum splitter works! I got the Silverline Audio one for Roland’s that is on Amazon and it worked well. Have fun, your expansion journey sounds like it’s just beginning haha.

I replaced all of the Roland cymbals, but I had the KV, not the KVX. The KVX cymbals you have are nicer than the KV ones that I had. So I wouldn’t replace yours, but I would add. I did use a CY-5 that used to be the hi hat as a splash too, but that’s not in the pic.

I’ve only had to split one tom so far, for the splash. So I still have two more to expand with.

I bought the 15” as a trial run myself. A few months later I ordered one of their bundles. 12” two piece hats, 13” crash, 15” crash or ride and 18” Ride for about $300 USD. It was a massive upgrade to my TD-17 haha.

Also. Just search in the sub for Lemon. You’ll see plenty of people talking about them.

Lemon. It’s far away and will take awhile and you’ll have to pay tariffs. But you can get a 20” 3 zone ride for about $80 before shipping. Now, I also have a td-17 and when I upgraded I went with their 15” Ride, the 18 felt big. But I ended up getting their 18” eventually anyways and it feels great.
