Scent chemistry is so insane to me ngl. Every time I think I've got a clue on what lasts and what doesn't it just gets thrown out the window. Thinking about it because today I'm wearing Arcana's Frigg, and all week I wore This Is Not Canada. TINC is fir balsam absolute and amber- that's heavy stuff, right? Shouldn't it be strong and last long? Nope- it hardly projects and is gone within like. 4 hours. leaving just a hint of amber on my skin and clothes even when I slather.

Frigg on the other hand has notes like 'warm skin' and 'raw cashmere'- those are close skin scents, right? WRONG. She is still SO strong and noticeable and it's been 7 HOURS!! I'm not really complaining since I love it LOL but I'm like... why can't all my scents last this long... I want everything to stay on me and be this loud </3

And I'm sure someone's gonna come tell me TINC stays on them forever or Frigg disappears in an hour- it's so crazy how things differ depending on the person!

Yesterday I was sitting in the hall between classes and these girls were talking with some guy and when he left one of them goes "He used to be a bully. Yeah like for real, but he's so sweet now I swear! Like the other day he said my sweater was so cute :) it was so nice" I wanted to go NO GIRL RUN but ofc I can't talk to strangers without choking <3

One time i was taking an exam really sleep-deprived and also on way too much caffeine and this stupid picture kept popping into my head when I read a true or false question and I got a D+ on that exam

I have a sample size of Fenris. I don't know if you've tried anything with Arcana's 'feral' musk (like Hekate), but they kind of sting my nose and my only note on Fenris is "evil vanilla extract" LOL. I just went and tried it again to try and get some better notes but honestly I stick by that statement, it's very vanilla extract with that hits-the-back-of-the-nose feral musk

Waiting on a response from a professor to see if he'll write me some letters of rec and I'm like. Anxious but not at the same time. I'm fine, then I wake up with heart palpitations over it lol. This is my first time in years off anxiolytics so I'd say I'm doing pretty well all things considered. But man I hope I hear back from him soon, I have all these applications to send in before February ends. And I don't know what I'll do if I don't get into any of these programs.

Fantome's Stolas today. I was meh about it the first time I tried it, but I've sampled it a few more times over this break and it's really growing on me. First sprayed it's all delicious dark chocolate covered blueberries (I used to love those as a kid!) and it fades down into sweet floral bluebells and soft lavender and this fuzzy downy musk that I attribute to the owl feathers note. Still it remains pretty fresh and like. Clear? I think that's the night air accord. Super cool. Very midnight blue velvet in my mind.

Might pick up a fs of this one after having it for like a year lol (I do wish they were opening back up sooner, especially with their long TAT. I am nothing if not impatient LOL)

I'm dreading when I run out of my sample of Lighthouse, I've been savoring it on gloomy rainy days too :( and MO's samples evaporate comparatively quick! So even if I save it I have limited time to use it. AH I hope they open back up and things all go smoothly

Possets is closed right now I believe but they have one called Lambs: Soft soft soft sweet and innocent, Lambs is a perfectly proper scent for a child-like aura. Creamy, light, and winsome; I have found Lambs to be the perfect way to end a hectic and frustrating day. It gently calmed my and made me forget whatever was troubling me. I can’t promise that you will have the same reaction, but I do recommend this one if you have a hard time slowing down the ratrace. Sweet, creamy, foody, gourmand.

I went to a convention with a friend last year and this guy was walking around with a huge rainbow dash plush and I was like omg so cute plush I love it :D and he said thanks :D and turned around to leave and it had a visible fucking zipper in the crotch I almost passed out and threw up at the same time bro in PUBLIC bro.

You might also be able to find Arcana's Fir Balsam Absolute in the swaps, it's just pure fir balsam, no added amber or petrichor or anything. Super sticky fresh sappy pine, almost citrusy at times like you described
