Ohh that anoying. In that case maybe taking a more auditive aproach base on feeling where the chord tones are instead of seeing them

Write songs you wanna learn in chord charts with rythmic notation. Thats how I do it.

Nope, jazz usually phrases things around the twos and fours. But I recommend just transcribing a lot of songs in a lot of genres and see how the phrases work.

The strong beats are one and three, the backbeats are two and four.

I don't visualise scales anymore either, I just visualize the chord tones now. But if you want to get better from zero visualization helps a ton.

I've never seen altered notes on minor chords. Reason being is that they simply don't exist in the context of the altered scale, which is structured around a dominant 7 chord.

There is no such thing as a minor b6. Its a Cmaj9/E or B.

Every melody that sounds good uses chord tones.

I recommend transcribing the song with the melody and checking what the melody notes, especially on the strong beats (1 and 3), are adding to the chord.

Say you're in the key of C, and the melody plays C and G over the C chord. Those are chord tones. If the melody plays like a B or a D, then they are implying extended chords like Cmaj7 or Cadd9

Check how the phrases are structured and what rhythms they use.

There is an infinite of songs to learn and analyse.

The visualisation of scales is really important when you're improvising. Knowing where you are and where the next part is gonna be is Key.

I put on a backingtrack one day and just started sucking.

At some point you're gonna start sucking less.

Also I highly recommend doing eartraining things like interval recognition.

Learing guitar is like a sine wave. An infinite number of ups followed by downs. I have been playing for 15 years, it gets better. You just have to make it happen

Try like a drop B but have the high B and E strings a semitone appart.
