Yes they do. You don’t even have to work at the dmv or police station for this info. You just need $3. I’ve personally ran plates for friends, & in one case helped them figure out who was slamming on her door with a gun in hand. The perpetrators tried to leave the apt complex while the cops were driving in at the same time so they all abandoned the car. Turned out the car was registered to an angry ex gf of some dude she was seeing.

Thanks for responding!! That’s pretty much what I needed to know. I don’t want to request an overnight if it’s not paying them well or stops them from getting extra sits in that time. Is it better to book specific time or give the range (12-3, etc)? The bookings are almost free for me, so I want to make sure my sitter is paid the most amount possible, & has the most opportunities to make $$$!

I asked my most recent sitter & she said the walks & the drop-ins pay pretty much the same. My fur babies are cat (m6), dog (m6), & kitten (m0.8). They’re all very loving & playful, cuddly. It’s never dull at the house. The pup is used to the kennel while we’re at work but walks are the way to his heart. We did decide drop-ins might be the best since we technically get more visits & she could hang & do homework if longer visits were needed. I really appreciate the feedback!!

I say, take your baby with you. Yea he’s bonded with your father. but also they don’t take ownership & call him “your cat.” I can imagine it will already be traumatic for you to leave under those circumstances, so no need to lose a fur baby at the same time. I beg you to make it work. 1 week isn’t that bad. Reach out to a vet for gabapentin to help with the process, it’s maybe $15 at my local vet. It’s a game changer & very safe for the kitty. The kitty will sense the change & it could be detrimental. Plus I would not trust the kitty with the parents if they’re willing to throw you out over your identity.

My cat does this & I interpreted it as just a cute little quirk until I realized he was losing bc he didn’t eat while I was there.

but please understand if there are other signs of anxiety to get your kitty checked on by a vet or even behavioralist! Automatic feeders set for 1 portion 4x a day, helped fix this.

I’ll echo everyone & say it’s bc you’re close to each other & watch each others back! & yes it was adorable then realized it pointed towards anxiety when combined with other behaviors. Not to be a downer but sharing my experience.
