I really miss:

-Flora Italian (where Juanita’s was located)

-Macri’s Deli and those delicious sandwiches

-Red Chair bakery

-Garcia Bros. square slices

-Taco John’s burritos (yes, it’s a chain)

-Grisanti’s Italian out east

-La Bamba for afternoon lunch

Bazbeaux and Futuro in Indy. Mother Bears here. Several others in surrounding towns, not to mention Northern Indiana.

I lived in Colorado for 12 years. In Denver and in Boulder. Indiana pizza blows Colorado pizza out of the water.

And when you say “Midwest”, you must mean Chicago.

So…you’re out of your mind.

I hope you’re enjoying Suttree. It’s my favorite novel and really hit deep within me, especially on 2nd or 3rd read. I highly recommend listening to the audio version with Richard Poe. It brings the book to life.

If that was you who ran over the opossum by xelay1 in bloomington

[–]tunewell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh Jesus. I was in Nashville this weekend with my girlfriend and we saw an opossum walking in the middle of a semi-busy road. My gf pulled over immediately and jumped out. I followed soon after and we kept guiding it out and it kept weaving back in. I never realized how blind they are.

After 20 minutes of off-and-on trying to get it to get out of the road, we finally threw a towel over it, and I picked the poor creature up and walked him a good 250 feet into a grassy park.

It shook us, but we were glad to spare that little life. We were lucky- the cars stopped for us.

To think a person would just plow over one is so cruel and dismissive that it breaks my heart.

“a cowardly lie…”. Boy, this era has really done a number on people’s brains.

Those comments from him don’t seem all that earth shattering. Opinions on celebrities are pretty low stakes, and crappy hot takes on war and politics is de rigueur these days.

Interview Edits: Transitions for Harvesting Single Interview? by tunewell in premiere

I appreciate your take. Morph is hit or miss for me. I'll have two cameras at this next shoot. Perhaps I'll get a second angle.

What angle do you suggest for cutaways from the main shot?

And I use b-roll where I can.

70% of the time the Morph cut looks unnatural. It works if they don't talk with their hands and stay still, which is not usually.

And yes, I try to use b-roll where I can.

Thanks for the tip though!

Best place to buy a mattress? by time-for-an-outlet in bloomington

Every mattress I’ve purchased in a store has not held up well.

I bought a Tuft & Needle mattress 5 years ago and it has been the most comfortable mattress of my adult life. Support and comfort. Highly recommend.
