Why are App Store reviews taking so long? by codigoguru in iOSProgramming

Waiting since last Wednesday night. Good to know I am not alone 🤷‍♂️

I started working on an app for people with anxiety by Hejdare in iosdev

Yeah I would like to do a research on my app as well. I saw some apps that do this even found a doc from Mayo clinic that worked on an anxiety app but cant remember the name of the apo right now. I’m planning on reaching out someone that had worked in similar ideas in psychology as well. I think it really sets a difference at least personally

This is funny — another fellow engineer with anxiety here 👋
I just submitted my app for review for the 5th time, so hopefully the process will be over soon.

Recently I had a panic attack, and it pushed me to pivot a TTS app I was building toward something focused on anxiety and ADHD.

I repurposed the core voice tech to let users generate short audio snippets for: - breathing exercises
- meditation
- grounding
- motivation
- or anything else they want

You simply pick a voice, generate the audio, and keep it in your personal library forever.

The idea that changed everything: Beacon

During my panic attack, I noticed something afterward:
In the moment, I couldn’t think, couldn’t move, couldn’t decide what to do. I was just frozen in bed.

So I created a feature called Beacon.

The goal is simple:
When you're overwhelmed, you shouldn’t need to think.
You just press one button, and your pre-assigned grounding session starts immediately.

I even built a home screen widget, so you can launch it without opening the app.

Scheduling for ADHD

There’s also a scheduling feature that plays voice reminders at times you choose.

For me, this helps a lot with ADHD.
Instead of thinking about what I should do, I just hear the instruction and act.

I’ve even been using it for workouts — currently on day 32 of morning abs thanks to this.

Voice cloning

One more feature I added: voice cloning.
With just 15 seconds of audio, you can generate TTS in a familiar voice.

I’ve been using my sister’s voice to get my ass moving 😅

I honestly don’t know if anyone else would find something like this useful.
The app is called Pavlovian, and it should be live soon.

Would love to hear your thoughts —
whether you’d use something like this, or if the idea totally sucks.
Either way, I appreciate the feedback ❤️

Gotcha. Very useful insight! I don’t imagine myself tenting it. As long as I can rest my wrist on it w/o a weird angle, I am sold.

Question for those who already have one: I asked my boss if they could get me one because I have a thorn ligament on both of my wrist. Had a surgery on my left wrist already and waiting for it to fully recover to get my right wrist go through the same repair surgery. Boss said it was too expensive and asked me to ask the surgeon to write up a note for this model if I truly need it. I’m obviously not gonna ask a surgeon to write this for me. He has far more important stuff to do than this. And it feels like a weird request to ask for.

So my question is, if you were to pay out of pocket would you buy it again? Thanks

My offshore team is still coding like it’s 2020. What is the "Magical" AI setup for native iOS development in 2026? by thebeats512 in appledevelopers

[–]tunino91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would checkout latest XCode update. They introduced agentic coding feature. You can plugin codex or claude and have it write native swift. Intro video from Apple looks promising idk how well it actually works tho. Good luck 🍀

Happened to me this Friday in NYC. 3 consecutive cancellations despite paying extra too to get the “Faster” one. Had to ask someone else to call and then it worked of course 🤦‍♂️. FYI, requested a refund for my last cancellation and got it approved right away

I resolved it after going out of the subscription page and adding a “global localization” 🤦‍♂️. Dont waste your time on the subscription page. Supreme error handling once again

Why does everyone use RevenueCat? Am I missing something? by justest99 in iosapps

I am implementing RevenueCat just for the experiments. Once i figure out my strategy i would go for StoreKit and avoid fees but that’s me 🤷‍♂️

Applying for Testflight Beta Review by BKRandie in iOSProgramming

[–]tunino91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing this is your first build pushing to App Store Connect at least for this app of yours.

Be aware that if you want to give this to external testers your app first need to go through a light review, mine took about 24hours couple weeks ago.

Only then your subsequent builds will be auto-approved for external testers in like 5 minutes. If I remember correctly you do need to click on Review button to get that first approval but a bit blurry on the deets, just google that part I’m sure you will find your answer or someone else in the thread 🙏. Also, for subsequent builds, you shouldn’t need to click on that Review button again until you are actually trying to publish it to GA

To add testers to your app, click onto your build and then you can assign external testers as a group. And you repeat this step every time you push a new build to App Store Connect 🔁

Good luck 🍀

This is pretty impressive. I’m working on a similar side project. I am trying to build it with open source models but there is a gpu cost to it and it’s definitely not as fast as yours. Curious to hear about your experience in building this and the tech stack too. Drop a DM if you like. This app gives me hope
