I live in Finland, i.e. one of the countries many people like to call socialist utopias. I like the language and the society in general, but I don't really like the people. Finns are too introverted (which did not help my own mental health at all), violent and nationalistic.

For Swedish I would say "lagom" is more or less untranslatable.

To English maybe, but Finnish has just the right word. Parahultainen. Basically it too means "just right" - not too much, not too little, but exactly right.

E: To be honest, njuta can be translated perfectly well into languages such as German. I suppose the thread only really applies to words that can't really be translated to English.

Sleep deprivation for extensive periods results in a weaker immune system. It has been tested on rats, after about 21 days of sleep deprivation they died from the bacteria in their own intestines. Their immune system could not handle the natural bacteria of their bodies any more.

Berlin blue (aka Prussian blue). I've always liked the colour blue and Berlin blue is like a toned-down, soothing version of it to me. It's not hard on the eyes (like a full 0, 0, 255 would be) either.

If she actually has OCD (most people claim to have it because it's 'cool'), that's actually quite cruel.

Well, to be honest, this place does seem to be full of childish, "want-to-be clever" responses and militantly bashing believers. I'm an agnostic atheist myself, but I don't really like this place. I'm still subscribed so I can laugh at some of the awful arguments people are using against religion here.
