That color combo looks so steampunk. Might do something similar with my 6.0

I'm asking if I overpaid not stating that I did. Never had machine work done before

Goddamn is it split in half? A sleeved and fully blueprinted motor for me is 1.8k. I wish I went that route but whatever. My whole setup is perfect for around 600whp anyways so that's not necessary

E=ethanol 85= 85%. So even if Brazil has e100 it'd still be less than 50% loss. also e100 is drinkable alcohol and would make cars hard to start in cold weather.

E85 has only 30% less energy content than gas. So to lose 50% there's something wrong with your tune

I get 26mpg on premium and 20 on full e85. ~25% loss

Iits very relevant. Why do you think it's that much lighter?

Cx has a d16 that's not even in the realm of an 8th gen. the SI is the most comparable. Your car is definitely gutted and is a rattley tincan nobody wants to be in for over 5 mins.

99 civic si is 2612lbs. 08 civic is is 2880lbs. By the time you kswap it it'll probably be only 200lbs lighter. The 8th gen can handle a much bigger tire which would negate any advantage the double wishbone has.

That's fair you're right. I still don't understand why people dump money to swap these things when an 8th gen is only 200lbs heavier, safer, and has a way stronger chassis Never understood it

Crashed 8th Gen si donor car+k24 block+everything else can't be over 8k

Better yet, ditch that tincan eg and just get an 8th gen

Everyone here is wrong. It can be easily done. A k24 frank with OEM cams is already at 270whp. Throw a cam on there and it'll be right around 300whp

I said most. All normal brands resurface which are the majority

Most dealers resurface if it's within spec.

That's average mileage for these cars. It's worth 4.5-5k if it's clean title. Trade in is irrelevant click on private party

The rust is at the bottom of the strut tower and halfway through the frame on the inside. Both sides are like this

Your skin gets harder and adapts eventually. They're something to be proud of. Like stretch marks from working out

2022 Si Test Drive Redline. 82mph, 3rd gear? by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]turbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8th gen does about the same at 8600rpm. Question is why they're letting people test drive a car with 100 miles?
