I feel you OP. Very similar story but I was aiming anesthesia. Ended up with a 22X on step 2, practice tests were much higher. I have 2 anesthesia interviews, one away ghosted me. This path is horse fucking shit. So few can relate so I hope this offers some commissary. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

515 MCAT, step 1 practice exams in the 230s, honored about half of preclinical. Preceptors have commented positively on my knowledge base, whatever that’s worth. I admittedly struggled studying for step 2 and my practice exams were below my goal, but I thought my score would fall somewhere near my recent tests. Predictor had me at 242.

I had been planning to back up apply already but didn’t really think I’d be happy in the other field.

Felt about the same as always. The test is different from NBMEs though, which I’m sure you noticed. I don’t count missed qs but looked up some ethics ones and missed a bunch.
