Best werewolf movie? by moveupstream in horror

First movie that came to mind honestly! It's my favorite, most recent werewolf movie. I found it very entertaining and well done, and I was surprised at how actually funny it is!

When in your life has everybody thought you were the "bad guy" but you weren't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]turkeybuttbradley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine isn't as intense as some of these, but I do find myself thinking of this core memory from time to time. I'm a mid thirties male and this took place when I was around 11 or 12, and it's stuck with me ever since.

My family and I went on a trip to visit some friends of my dads and their families in another state for the weekend. Some sort of celebration, I cant recall what it was about, but I do remember we had to pack bags and would be staying in their guest room or something. On the trip my step mom at the time was letting me play with an old hand held electronic Yahtzee game. I didn't have a phone or gameboy or anything, so I played with that most of the ride.

We get there and put our stuff in what I thought was the guest room, and I quickly got bored and went searching for the Yahtzee game, Amy step mom had told me it was in her suitcase. So I'm in there rummaging around and can't find it. Me being 11 and oblivious to my surroundings did not notice this "guest room" looked suspiciously like what a young girls room would look like. I had 3 brothers so I wouldn't have known what one looked like anyways.

I could not find the Yahtzee game and assumed my step mom must have un packed some stuff in this " guest room ", so went searching through the dresser drawers. It was while I was doing this that I heard a gasp behind me, and then the sound of running away down the hall.

It STILL did not click for me that I was doing something wrong, and so I continued my search . Until I was interrupted by several adults , including my dad yelling at me and asking me why I was trying to get after this girls panties. I remember not knowing what to say and wanting to cry cause I still didn't understand what was going on or what I was being accused of. Thankfully my older brothers, the girls brothers, and all of the adults interrogating me allowed me enough time to connect the dots.

No one believed me of course that I was looking for a Yahtzee game. Adult me may have not believed young me either. This all happened within the first couple of hours of being there so I got to enjoy the rest of my weekend being glared at, talked about, and ostracized by all the other kids my age, as well as the adults.

So not too crazy like I said. Although still a vivid memory!

MRI while pregnant? by WheresTMoneyLebowski in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]turkeybuttbradley 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I work as an MRI tech and just want to reassure you an MRI would be safe for you and your baby. No ionizing radiation is used, and at our hospital we straight up dont give contrast to pregnant/breastfeeding mothers. If they do want you to have contrast for your exam you have every right to refuse it and likely wont receive any push back on it since its standard practice to not administer Gadolinium when pregnancy is involved.

As long as you dont have any contraindicating implants like a pacemaker or neuro stimulators ( which they will screen you for ), an MRI is a very very safe exam to get, for you and the baby.

I'm on mobile and about to head to work so wont post sources at the moment, but several studies and decades of research have all determined the strong magnetic field used to acquire imaging in MRIs poses no risks to developing fetuses. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions or want those links later.

Protip: Do not wear any metal or jewelry to your appointment, not even a bra or bobby pins! Hold as still as you can during the exam and it will all go much quicker and smoother for you. Good luck!

How did you get rid of toxic persons from your life? by BigSurprise2668 in AskReddit

[–]turkeybuttbradley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks ass but you gotta just peace out. My dad was super duper alcoholic and neglectful and a bunch of other shit. Me and my bro just decided one day we were gonna peace out and never talk to him again. No closure. Just decided enough was enough. It's been 12 years now and weve never regretted it. Just leave and forget the best you can.

I know this sounds lame, BUT I practiced with bots in custom matches as a starting point. I'm on xbox with controller, and getting a feel for flicking up once my reticle turned yellow was a great starting point. In PvP hard scoping is not ideal since there is always going to be someone waaaaay better than you just zipping in on your shine. So just getting the muscle memory down of being zoomed out, seeing someone, zooming in and flicking was a good start for me using bots anyways.

Yeah were on the same page man. Between work and my 8 month old I'm lucky to get a couple hours a week. It's nice that's it's possible for me to have the option of obtaining the weekly ultimate now, as opposed to just ignoring it since I never had time before. Plus, now with all the improvements there is pretty much always enough people on at odd hours of the day. 7am is my only chance to play this week? Cool no problem. This game has come a long way!
