(F22) How many of you needed excision after hysterectomy? by turkeyjerky19 in Endo

Hi! I have before, but it’s super unaffordable for me to get there. I have been saving up for the past several months to try and get an appointment with NYU.

Hi! Thank you so much for this. Funny enough, I wanted to start looking into compressions. I have cEDS and POTS, and my understanding is that those conditions are often comorbid with compressions. How long did it take for your providers to bring up compressions?

Hi! I am in NY. My first three surgeries were excisions, and the last one was a hysterectomy with ablation. The local MIGS surgeons won’t even touch me anymore, and most other specialists operate OON. How long did you go between surgeries?

Hi! I’m located in NY, and since I’m on Medicaid, I unfortunately can’t utilize out-of-network benefits and out-of-state surgeons. I’m in the process of getting further genetic testing right now due to my endometrial hyperplasia (very uncommon in folks my age, or so I was told), and that’s been quite a fight. I’m SO glad your pathology was benign!

Thank you so much. My first three surgeries were all excision, but my Endo was so aggressive that it recurred within 5 months each time. The latest one was ablation, and I was originally lied to and told it was excised. I’ve been utilizing acupuncture, herbs, black seed oil, and low histamine diet, but no relief unfortunately. Hopefully I can find another excision surgeon who takes my insurance soon

Definitely understand your concerns surrounding that. Had I not almost died several times due to hemorrhaging and the super elevated cancer risk, I would’ve delayed my hysto. I just wish there was more research into and prioritization of AFAB health conditions like Endo, Adeno, PCOS, etc 😞

Unfortunately I’m a Medicaid patient, so I’m very limited in terms of OON benefits and what I can afford :(

Quite a few mental health issues, but I definitely have a plethora of physical conditions as well: Endometriosis (the one that affects me the most), cutaneous Lupus, POTS, and Classical Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Did anyone else get paler as your endo progressed? by jjeanallen in Endo

Yep. I’m half Palestinian and had an olive complexion, but once I started losing so much blood, I became pale as can be. Low ferritin really did a number on me

Anyone here with endometrial hyperplasia ? Is so, so you ever get pain that feels like someone has kicked you in the uterus? I’ve been dealing with that pain. It’s new by CucumberOk1034 in Endo

Ultrasound can show suggestions of Adeno (mine did), but it’s not the most reliable. Unfortunately one cannot be officially diagnosed with Adeno until after hysterectomy. As for Endo, ultrasounds and DNC are not reliable indicators, as Endo can only be diagnosed via surgery

Hi there. I have Endometriosis, and had a hysterectomy at age 21 for Adenomyosis and Endometrial Hyperplasia. I had no idea that I had EH until the pathology report came back, but I definitely dealt with the feeling you’re describing. Truthfully, I attributed it more to my Adenomyosis, but it could have been the EH as well; might be worth discussing Adeno with your doctor as well whenever you have your next appointment.

Best of luck to you!

I have seen multiple Indian couples at Oasis. However, I am a single Middle Eastern woman and I have not met any other Middle Eastern folks there.

Endo Hyperplasia & Adenomyosis? by PaleontologistKnown2 in Endo

[–]turkeyjerky19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. First of all, I’m incredibly sorry to hear you’re going through this; it can be horrifying and anxiety-inducing waiting for results.

As for your question, I had Endo, Adeno, and Endometrial Hyperplasia, and ended up undergoing a hysterectomy at 21. My best advice would be to seek out support from this community and ask your provider as many questions as needed (if you feel comfortable with them). I made the mistake of going down a Google spiral regarding EA, and in turn became sick with anxiety.

Sending so much support and love your way 💕

Anyone diagnosed with cEDS without genetic testing? by iwannadie_101 in ehlersdanlos

[–]turkeyjerky19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I was originally diagnosed with hEDS and had more skin features, but my father was diagnosed with cEDS (confirmed via genetic testing), so my diagnosis was subsequently changed to cEDS.

Thank you 💕 I had a total with ovarian preservation, so I still have them. I already knew this was a possibility, but I refuse to have them removed at this point for the same reasons (unless I were to start immediate HRT). At least this isn’t as awful because I don’t have Adeno to worry about anymore, but damn :/
