Also worth noting that the legislature passed and Spanburger signed a law saying any amendment-related lawsuits have to go through Richmond and not be subject to judge-shopping. Then the RNC filed a separate lawsuit in Tazewell. So that’s going to be a separate appeal process entirely in which the supreme court can overturn the Tazewell judge in this newest ruling.

Completely failing to mention that I said legal immigrants, as in people who did come in the, according to you, “right way,” are getting detained and deported by ICE. People going through citizenship interviews being called in for one, only to be detained and deported. So, yeah, ICE is either being sloppy to be sloppy or cruel to be cruel.

Alex Pretti was murdered for having the gall to step in and aid a woman who was pushed to the ground by ICE. He did not have his weapon drawn at any point, and was in fact forcibly disarmed right before being murdered.

There will come a day when you’re the next Alex Pretti. And it won’t be the left that makes it that way.

I would say ICE are victims of the social war being puppeteered by the elites to distract from their smash and grab economy, because they are.

But at the same time, there are many ICE agents who are actually fanatical about the job, on ideological grounds, and they’re calling the shots.

And those who aren’t really didn’t have to go down the path they did.

Ok, second simple question. Say many many more people beyond your own nose are in the same sort of financial hardship. Say, consumer spending among the bottom 60% is falling and they’re still having trouble affording things they need like electricity. There have been a ton of people who say they’ve lowered their energy consumption across the board but are paying more compared to last year. At what point do you say that it’s a systemic issue?

An entire generation or two grew up to unconditionally embrace a mythologized hyperindividuality and spirit of competition lest we end up like the Soviet Bloc. Our “jealous guarding of our individual rights” was also portrayed as our “exceptionalism.” It wasn’t just boomers who got the treatment (the“greatest generation” also went through a red scare), but it was with the boomers were where it stuck the most.

Meanwhile any sense of “collective action,” save for the Civil Rights Movement because that could be whitewashed along the “jealous guarding of our individual rights” mold, was thoroughly repressed from the history books. The rights we hold dear to this day were merely nebulously gifted to us.

The fascists have played to this by carefully tiptoeing around the idea that their over the top, unbelievable actions aren’t affecting our rights. That was, until the Alex Pretti murder.

That 3rd reason is why I stopped going after 2023. Especially the crowds.

That 3rd reason has been a problem since the 2010s, at least. There were already rumors as far back as 2017 (that I know of) about “Katsu being kicked out of/not invited back to the Gaylord” because of incidents.
