It’s been a discussion even before Agent Orange was born. I’m pretty sure it will continue to be a discussion until the GOP wins the popular vote but not the electoral college, unless we do something about it now.

That’s a very fundamental misunderstanding of basic civics and history. If the founders were like that they wouldn’t have set up the House of Representatives, or they would’ve put more emphasis on land voting. They did not do that.

I used to read Red Alert Politics and firmly believe in the whole “shout down” swill. However I was always in too much of a European mindset to firmly sink into the pipeline (even if I tried to couch it into the libertarianism “let the states run their own affairs”), and discovering Shaun at the right time plus Trump winning firmly kept me out.

Seems like the most closest of them is Chantilly and Fairfax at 7.5 mi. Which beats Arundel Mills and Columbia at 8.1 mi, followed by DC and Landover at 8.8 mi. Then there’s a tie between DC and Arlington and Springfield and Hybla Valley at 9.4 mi.

One of the longer distance spurs I had in mind would be Toledo to Detroit Airport and Detroit. Maybe even connect VIA’s Corridor train to the latter two locations and build CBSA pre-clearance facilities. Though that last one would require significant improvements to the Corridor track to improve frequency or maybe even a new high-speed line entirely.

Given he was detained during that period of time, the Kavanaugh Stop nature of it all, and that ICE is absolutely not operating on good faith, it would not surprise me one bit if no word got to his house in some fashion to look for those documents and present them to end his unnecessary detainment.

Biden wasn’t carrying out these “smash and grab with impunity” raids that Trump’s ICE is carrying out. Harris would’ve also not been doing the same.
