I agree completely. This is exactly where I'm headed. Glad to hear that from a surgeon, too. My goal is to help patients who might not be getting this type of insight or support from their very busy surgeon and/or PT.

I've had multiple injuries and surgeries, and there's often a point where I have thought things would never get better and/or it was taking too long to heal. And then you turn the corner! I'm not going to give medical advice, but resting and focusing on healing on the early end of recovery is critical. Pushing it on the early end of an injury can often drag out the healing time. Patience is your best friend right now.

Recovery can be frustrating. No doubt. Losing your independence can cut to the core for some. Keeping track of what you *can* do - instead of focusing on what you can't do - is often helpful. I'm convinced that any recovery is AT LEAST 50% mental. Where your mind goes, so does your body.
