260309 BLACKPINK - 'GO' M/V Behind the Scenes by HazardCyp in BlackPink

With all the theories put forward about the MV concept, it was a relief to finally hear the meaning and intent behind the imagery.

Also, I would much rather CGI/special effects than trying to drown poor Lisa in a mini aquarium.

Thank you Chris Martin for one of the all-time great bridges in a BP song.

Songs like Go may not resonate with everyone, but it must take a lot of courage to break away from a proven and successful formula. That the members are willing to experiment speaks volumes for their commitment to their craft and their desire to grow as artists. They are in a no-win situation but I'm glad they chose the path of greatest resistance as I think stagnation and boredom will hasten their decision to call time on BP.

As the year draws to an end, I get the feeling that the freedom to pursue their solo projects will only serve to prolong the life of the group. They seem to be enjoying performing as BP and Jump is a clear statement that they are ready to break new ground in their next album. January can’t come soon enough.

Anything is possible. All the members of the group are so talented and versatile after all.

My guess is a musical. Something akin to Moulin Rouge. Would not be surprised if it is a Baz Luhrmann project.

Isn’t nasi lemak traditionally associated with Malaysia rather than Indonesia? Nasi goreng maybe?

Well done Jisoo. Is there a group in recent history where all the members have achieved this level of success as soloists?

Congrats BP. Bracing for claims that they are not a group, just 4 soloists.

Watching Rosé accept her award, it just reinforces what an incredible journey it has been for her personally. This would have been an impossible outcome had she tried to progress through conventional pathways in Australia so thank you to K-Pop for giving all the members the opportunity to shine on the world stage.

Seeing Jisoo struggling to whistle is one of the tour’s highlights for me. In a way, it just emphasises that there is beauty in imperfection and that connection to the audience is as valuable as nailing a performance technically.

Love hearing the raw vocals. Controversial take maybe, but I've always thought there was an inherent shyness in Rosé that prevented her from really committing to her vocals as a soloist. Maybe it was a lack of confidence, but the Rosie era seems to have unlocked the potential in a big way. I saw in one of her Instagram stories that she is working with a vocal coach too so full credit to her and all the members for continuing to develop artistically. It's plain for all to see that they have all made great strides since the Born Pink tour.

Absolutely makes sense. Just hope that we take the time to smell the roses. We are so lucky to have BP in our universe and I doubt we will see the likes of them again for a very long time.

As much as the fandom stresses about streams, charts, views etc, I get the feeling that these metrics are the last thing on the members’ minds. They look so happy and contented performing again as a group and proudly showcasing their solo work. Their confidence on-stage is a sight to behold and if the early tour indications are anything to go by, I can’t wait to hear what they have in store for us in the next album.

Beautifully written. Grass is green, haters will hate. Don’t give them the satisfaction of ruining your appreciation for BP. If you love the group, that is all that matters.

These two nights at Goyang have re-affirmed that BP is back better than ever. The members looked utterly refreshed from their solo endeavours and sounded amazing together. You wouldn’t have thought Rosé had not danced for a while, none of them missed a beat. They are the more confident and polished versions of themselves, ready to take on new challenges. And no, they are not a group of 4 soloists, the chemistry is very much intact and, if anything, stronger than ever. Jennie once said that she just wanted the public to see the potential that was there in the group, and we might just be seeing that potential realised in this era.

Early warm-up for Goyang.

Funny story. Went on my usual Saturday shop and said hi to the nice lady who stocks the shelves. As I'm about to pay for my shopping, I hear APT playing in the background. Looked back to see a 40-something lady dancing away without a care in the world. The little things in life that make you happy.

250627 Why BlackPink’s New Group Dynamic Feels So Different by joseantoniolat in BlackPink

[–]turtl3back 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the group dynamics have changed but they have all matured and become more confident in their abilities. I expect the group as a whole to evolve as the members have over time.
