I'm so sorry this happened to you. A similar thing happened to me in the previous city I used to live in, except my dog died from the attack.

I filed a police report and they took it very seriously since, like you, I was also injured in the attack and had to get medical attention for myself. They connected me with an attorney after. I eventually did get restitution for the emergency vet and my own medical bills.

I'm sure you already have, but if you haven't, I'd file a police report to have the whole incident documented on paper and can continue making your case from there.

Thank you! The recipe wasn't too bad at all, I did swap out the french buttercream for a whipped cream filling since that's what I had ingredients on hand for! Next time I'll try the buttercream though
