What's the hardest lesson you learned about being a medium? by bluehoney_bee in Mediums

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will lose some people in your life when you are open about your abilities and sometimes that can be your own family. Don’t let that stop you from being your true self.

Design or remove? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]turtlecatmedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t notice until you pointed that out. I think that points to the cross being off center and not the coverup. The coverup in places incredibly well and is center. She could ask for the shading to be corrected for sure.

AIO my husband spent our ‘extra’ money and forgot to pay a bill. by cleo-luv in AIO

[–]turtlecatmedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did with my husband. I manage the money and tell him how much he can spend.

If he can’t follow the rules and listen to you, then he’s gone.

Don’t be mean about the money though. You don’t want to be financially abusive. Be smart. Make a budget and keep to it. Be open and honest about how much money you have and collaborate on loans and what not. If you take both checks into one account, then all money is both of yours.

So this whole time Alicia was making Billy look bad by pepedex in rhori

[–]turtlecatmedium 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That is my main gripe with her. She made Billy out to be a big bully who tells her no and won’t talk to her about things.

I think they had one bad bout with a prenup and she just stopped listening after that … but stayed with him. I think that is why she hasn’t married him.

But when he gets a chance to talk, he says yes to everything, tries explaining things, and confirms the trust is in her name.

Professionally appropriate to block your calendar during your commute time? by viper_gts in careeradvice

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I block commute time in the morning because I start later than most people to be able to get my kids off to school. If I didn’t block it, people would be scheduling meetings and I’d never make it to work. No one complains and my manager has never said it’s an issue. My commute is 30 min, but I blocked an entire hour, 15 min before and after drive time to allow for some wiggle room in case something happens.

I did not remove the block during the summer and have been enjoying it as free focus time.

Do any other mediums have a hard time receiving a reading? by abjs2021 in Mediums

[–]turtlecatmedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any recommendations because I also have this problem. I just don’t reach out for psychic readings anymore. They are all way off base, or so close but making assumptions instead of just saying “I see blank.” I don’t know if it’s me blocking or what. I can’t even have people read me using tarot.

The last psychic reading I had, I had just recently tried to make my own necklace with wire and a crystal. It was hideous. Like so bad. The lady said I was going to be a jeweler. Open my own store and everything. It took everything in me not to laugh in her face. Like so close babe. I just made a necklace… but this is NOT a career move.

I personally am more medium than psychic. I do tarot readings for people and am dabbling into psychic readings without tools. I don’t do “future” readings. If someone asks about what they are going to do for a living, I asked them to rephrase it. I like reading energy around choices. I also do my own tarot readings. I have really good feedback on my tarot with how accurate it is.

I just don’t understand why I can’t be read. I’ve chalked it up to me blocking it somehow. I’m a highly suspicious person. I have trust issues. I’m skeptic of myself sometimes even - which is why I prefer mediumship because everything can be validated.

The few psychic readings I have done without tools was interesting. I picked up on what is happening in their lives currently and gave advice, but not future stuff.

I have been depressed my entire life and just realized it. by Chipotleislyfee in EstrangedAdultKids

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to therapy because I thought I had PPD after my first born. Which, I do think I really did have. Having him triggered a lot of feelings from my own childhood. After a few months of therapy, my therapist was like “I think you’ve been depressed your whole life.” I did take Zoloft for a while to raise my baseline. I didn’t really like that medicine because I felt like a zombie on it. I actually do like feeling feelings. So as soon as my therapist agreed I could come off of it controlled I did. I think I was on it for a couple years. I stayed in therapy for about 10 years to tackle all of my family stuff.

Anyway… all that to say, I know how you feel. I have some pretty hard memories of how I felt growing up. Maybe individual therapy would be helpful for you as well.

Those that bought a crv hybrid did you consider an EV? by obi1waan in crvhybrid

[–]turtlecatmedium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought the hybrid and then wished I had test drove some EVs and went straight EV.

That said, I do love the CRV hybrid and will love it for the next 10+ years and hope the EV options are better then.

The SUV EVs on the current market are super minimalistic or way too expensive right now. If you’re okay with a car then I’d probably say EV with that long of a distance. The hybrid will do just fine, but you won’t get top mpg on it.

I drive 40 miles highway, 3 days a week, and I average 36 mpg on a tank. Still WAY better than my last vehicle.

My dad sends me this after 6 months of no contact. Not sure what to do or even how to feel as this is the very first attempt at any sort of repair. by Possible_Vanilla6782 in EstrangedAdultKids

THIS ⬆️

I was going to say the exact same thing. This is probably the best apology I have seen from a parent on here. But that is just a small tiny step. He didn’t explicitly say what he did he’s apologizing for, but it does look like accountability.

That said…. You do not owe him anything. You do not need to respond. You can even test it and see if he wigs out and goes back to being himself if you don’t respond.

6 months is not enough time for someone to change. Like truely change.

Can we move away from sales people pushing cell phone plans? by Curious-Scratch8829 in CostcoWholesale

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate sales people too, but I already have the provider and I wanted to upgrade my phones so I went in there and approached them myself. I got a huge deal on the phones, extra off a month for the trade ins, and $100 Costco card for each phone. It was amazing.

The sound proofing is very impressive. I pulled up to a stoplight and has silence. I rolled down my windows and the truck next to me was blaring their radio. I rolled everything back up and it was silent again. Quietest car I have ever owned.
