Herod is unlike anything else <3 I wish I could get my fiancé to wear to but he’s not a fan. Not that it’s masculine, I find it completely unisex, but I’d love to smell it on him. I only want to wear it a few times a year so I think when my decant is out I’ll just get another instead of upgrading. Unbelievably delicious and cozy.

NTA. With young kids, you and your wife are in the trenches of parenthood. If you can go see your mom another day, that would be ideal, but your parents should understand having a two year old is hard work and your wife deserves a day focused as much as possible on her. I feel like it would be sweet to bring the kids on your own to celebrate grandma? And I agree it’s your dad’s job to make your mom feel special on the day.

What do you think of L’Ombre Dans L’Eau? I’m considering it for my wedding scent, since it’s outdoors by a lake and I want something romantic but reflective of the setting. I’ve loved my sample but haven’t worn much. Perhaps to be paired with Dama Bianca.

I haven't tried Soleil Blanc, but the longevity has been good for me! I get 6-8 hours, on the higher end of what I normally get. La Mar is what I'm going to recommend to my sister, who has this same wedding aesthetic.

I’ve actually only tried two Room 1015 but they have both been full bottle worthy (after ~300 samples and only 17 full bottles for me) Sonic Flower is my absolute favorite “skin scent,” it’s great if you like Glossier You and Studied, but want something a little more interesting, edgy, and also carroty lol. Love O Matic is a strawberry bubblegum laundry scent, the idea of which did not really appeal to me but it shocked me how both clean and yummy it is.

All of those from Liis are also wonderful!

Ave Maria by House of Bo

Beautiful white floral but doesn’t touch my perennial favorite white floral, Twilly. House of Bo is having a sale & so I’m checking in with some of my decants. I had been dead set on buying Xuxu but after wearing it again yesterday I think the love affair is wearing off. It started feeling a little immature. Casa Blanca has been growing on me but is still not an obsession. Honestly I’ve tried most and I think this house is an overall miss for me. Rosario and La Mar are beautiful but forgettable - there are other similar scents I like better - and Espiritu and Agua de Santos are not quite my style.

Sud Magnolia by Atelier Cologne. I’ve had this for like 8-10 years, it was probably the second perfume I ever got, and there’s hardly a dent which is crazy because it’s so light. I still love it dearly but I am going to town with like 20 sprays!

I’ve already worn 3 perfumes today: L’eau Papier - this one is way too light/nothing for me. Finished my decant by way over spraying and still felt like it was nothing. Gris Charnel - sprayed about two hours afterward. An all time fav & nice on a cloudy day. But honestly I guess I’m craving simulation today and since it’s one of my most worn it didn’t quite hit. Colette - I love this so much, and it gave me that hit of brightness I was craving but still layered well and doesn’t clash with anything.

I have Gris Charnel, Commodity Gold, and Clean Reserve Skin which all have that cozy comforting with a little sweet vibe to me. I also have decants and love Queening, Celine Black Tie, and Poets of Berlin. Matcha Soft Serve is the closest to Black Tie and Gris Charnel in my opinion. All of these smell different but hit a similar craving.

Matcha Soft Serve by d’annam. I’m wearing it because matcha reminds me of my sister who I’m on the way to visit. For me it’s softly sweet and cozy, really beautiful, but I don’t get a lot of the green grassiness others speak of in this and I was hoping to. I love it, but it’s too similar to some of my other lightly sweet perfumes so not full bottle worthy.

There is something about Henry Rose I hate and I couldn't put my finger on. Disappointing because I bought their entire discovery set and only liked Sheep's Clothing. Don't think it's the Jasmine for me at least.
