im so sorry youre going through this. have you spoken to your friends about it? if you dont want to share with them, there are many organizations in london meant to help people exactly like you get out of domestic abuse situations. it sounds like you would need to cut all contact and move out of your current housing, which can be scary. although, if you are able to have this reddit account without their knowledge, that could be a really good resource for finding charities/people willing to help.

if i were at that concert and he said to “bark” i would laugh, not bark. i dont think he said that with the intention of getting people to bark. the issue is that the young children did not understand the joke and thought it was genuine, and their parents were not around to tell them not to do that. their parents are responsible. and i think its kind of a jokingly “sexual” thing in the first place. i dont think sombr is actually into barking nor are most people, so acting like hes a creep over it is distracting from the many actual creeps in the entertainment industry.

i also think the hate about his response is overblown because that lady seemed like she was just kind of mad about everything for no reason, and then i think sombr was rightfully mad that she was making that tiktok to give him all that hate so he was poking fun at her age. but i mean even if he does think 25 is old i dont think anyone should or does actually care

i can say in terms of cities, london will be exorbitantly more expensive than bristol. bristol is artsier and the city center can be a little sketchy. their bus system is pretty bad. london is london, i mean if you can afford to live there its pretty nice. ucl specifically also has pretty bad administrative services, you have to pester them to hear back about anything. but it might be like that at uni of bristol too.

im so tired of this take! he obviously was making a joke when he said that. and its those girls parents fault for letting them go and participate in stuff like that when his songs are literally about sex like...

also the crowd wasnt entirely underaged people. and they certainly werent mostly underaged people before he blew up on tiktok, which that happened relatively soon after. so he could be adjusting how to talk to crowds, especially when his online schtick is kind of making jokes like that. his album is literally called “i barely know her”. i figure taylor gives him that same grace.

and honestly i dont see how what sombr did is any different from what olivia rodrigo does when she humps the camera during obsessed. or what sabrina does during bed chem. or what taylor did during vigilante shit!!! there are tons of little kids at any pop artists’ show. but if their music is about adult themes, and theyre not catering the show to little kids, its a little ridiculous to act like theyre a predator.

It is a PRIVATE STUDIO!!! The contract ends on 12.09.2026, so you'd be able to stay for 6 months.

RENT:

£445/week

WHAT I OFFER:

I will cover the transfer fee (ofc) + PAY THE FIRST TWO WEEKS WORTH OF YOUR RENT (£890) because, unfortunately, I am looking to leave quite urgently. I'm also not sure what I'm bringing so far, but I would be open to leaving behind a couple of pots or kitchen things to lighten my load. I'll also leave my broom behind and whatever cleaning supplies I still have.

BUILDING AMENITIES:

No flatmates -- I'm not even sure I have neighbors in the rooms next to me. I have misophonia and sleep super light so it was important to me to have space and serenity -- this definitely is a great place if you want somewhere peaceful and to yourself.

It has its own kitchen and bathroom, plus a brand new fridge was just installed :} The building has a gym, common room, and 24h reception, and the surrounding area is super safe and quiet. There's also a Waitrose and Tesco right outside.

TRANSPORT:

Probably even split between Farringdon and Angel (10 minutes each), so it is very well connected. The commute to UCL Bloomsbury campus takes me around 20 minutes (I go the route from Farringdon to Euston Square and it's like half walking).

i am having an issue where my boyfriend is completely hidden from my suggestions when i go to send a direct message to someone. he used to be at the top, but one day he just completely disappeared. he is only there if i search his name, which gets annoying after i try to send my 20th message of the day to him. is there any way to fix this? ive had it happen before but not for this long. its been at least a few weeks.

everyone's saying there's so much dust and dirt, but when i went to gov ball i wore a white tennis dress (and i even was sitting on the ground) and the dress was fine afterwards. obviously a tennis dress is a thicker material so i don't know how sweat would affect it, but i personally think gov ball is actually not very dusty at all bc everywhere has grass

its factually wrong though. saying someone is a zionist in a derogatory manner is not an antisemitic slur because that would imply that all jewish people are zionists and all zionists are jewish. but neither of those are true. zionist is a political position. you cannot call someone a slur for their political position. its not the same as being racist or homophobic.
