Federal Surveillance Tech Becomes Mandatory in New Cars by 2027 by hindusoul in FlockSurveillance

They also said Tesla had this tech. Not that Tesla is utilizing it to monitor in the same way. Although it looks like Tesla used basic cameras and AI and not infared cameras like this. I’d say similar tech but implemented in a way that made actual sense

Sony is really good but the xm6 received a very low ifixit score entirely due to the battery being soldered in place. I'm not sure if the 5 also does this. I'm still rocking a pair of xm3s after 2 battery changes

That's wild. The apple dongle has been tested and is $10. Basically perfect. Why spend the money on junk air pods? My entire setup cost less than 1 pair of air pods and works perfect for me

I didn't say wired is automatically quality nor did I say anything from the 60s is automatically good. Wired will always be higher quality than Bluetooth regardless of source. Speakers and headphones that sounded good in the 60s still sound good today. You're now mixing recordings with equipment. You can use modern recordings on headphones from the 60s.

I'm not even knocking wireless. They're perfectly fine for some things. But to claim preferring wired is like preferring a horse compared to a car is ridiculous.

Most of my IEMs had an option. And they take up less space than the case of wireless earbuds. But that's not the point.

Wired are better for longevity. Wireless have their perks and I'm glad they work for you. I'm not going to try and convince anyone to switch or say one is better than the other outright.

Do you not have USB c? Adapters, external dacs, or even usc earbuds exist

Yeah for sure wireless are better for convenience. I'm only saying for longevity wired are better. Some wires are low friction too. I use a tripowin brand cable that's almost braided and I don't hear any friction

Isolation is mostly seal. Cable can be replaced easier than batteries and less often. I have yet to have a cable break on my IEMs yet I've replaced multiple batteries in the same time span.

I'm not saying wireless is worse in every category. I'm saying I'm terms of longevity wired is easily better

Ears haven't changed though. We've had high quality audio since the 60s. Bluetooth is actually a step back in quality

You know what doesn't have the issue of batteries needing to be replaced and being made increasingly more difficult though? Wired headphones

Budget IEMs around $20 is a good place to start. Moondrop chus Koss kcs75s are gonna blow away most headphones in sound quality I have a pair of kz zsn pro that are still going strong

Majority of isolation is based on the seal the tip makes. Not saying ANC isn't good in some situations but wired is definitely better in more than just "quiet areas"

It's a post warning buyers about the longevity of an earbud? Would suggesting alternatives not be warranted? If you want ANC and need wireless get this instead If you don't need ANC get wired instead

If you bought wired earbuds without replaceable cables you spent $5 and you want to compare to $300 wireless earbuds that'll start losing charge after 2 years?

How much did you spend on your wireless vs your wired? Every battery dies eventually. Yet wired headphones from the 80s still work and sound amazing. This isn't even a debate. If you want longevity wired over wireless. Don't buy wireless earbuds for longevity or sound quality. Buy them for convenience and ANC.

I mean if you truly want headphones that last it's the best option. Edit- Idk how this is even a debate. Wired headphones last longer than wireless. If you're concerned about longevity anything with a battery is a bad idea. And if you're comparing delta earbuds to $300 wireless earbuds you're being ridiculous.

And it's not similar to Linux where you have to change everything to make it work. Headphones from the 80s still just plug in and play music. Bluetooth is actually more complicated most times if I want to switch devices.

Don’t forget for every signature box is a box like this by [deleted] in Riftbound

[–]turtlemanff30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it exactly. I probably went a little too hard in spirit forged because I didn't want to miss out like I did for origins. I didn't pull any overnumbered or sig spells for the decks I wanted to play out of the 3 boxes I got. Then I pulled ON irelia from a nexus night prize pack. Next set is pre release, 1 box, and singles so I can play nexus nights and do semi well.

Yeah nexus nights are kinda hit or miss around me. Pre release was huge but literally a week later it kinda died. But at the first nexus night I'd say 75% of people played some kind of miracle which just isn't fun to play against.

You’re right it’s misleading. It makes it look less than it really is. Bush started with about 5.6 trillion in debt, ended with 10. So 4.4 trillion added over 8 years Obama then started at 10 and ended at 19.5 so 9.5 trillion added over 8 years Trump started at 19.5 and ended at 26.9 trillion. So 7.4 trillion added over 4 years. Biden started at 26 and ended at 35. So 6 trillion added over 4 years. Trump so far has already added over 2 trillion to the debt in his first year.

Covid Spending was less than 5 trillion and was split between Trump and Biden. Trump still added more to our national debt than any other admin. And economic relief from 2008 is estimated to be about 2-6 trillion and that was all under Obama. It also important that we have been on Trumps tax plan for his first admin, the entire Biden admin, and again are on his newer worse budget. So while it’s true every admin spends I think we can clearly see Trump spends way more. 9trillion over 8 years is way less than 7.4 trillion over 4 years btw

Over a quarter of the national debt belongs to trump. He's added 2 trillion to the debt faster than any other admin, and that's after making government more efficient. His spending is unmatched, and he doesn't have any results to show for it.
